Anyone out there using Chimaera 5.1 Wireless ?

I am using one but I just could not connect the mic with my PC.

For your information, I am using Optical cable to connect between the receiver and my PC.

Anyone knows how to configure this ?

Hi Water,

Thank you for the suggestions but may I know if I connect the 3.5 mm to the headset or the receiver ?

RCA Cable (Receiver) > 3.5 mm (PC) ??

or

RCA Cable (Receiver) > 3.5 mm (Headset) ??

Imperator. Much better overall. Better yet, why not read some online review. You'll get better grasp on what your looking for, according to your preference.

Q. How can I connect my Razer Chimaera 5.1 headset to a PC?

A. There are two ways of connecting your Razer Chimaera 5.1. You can either purchase a RCA to 3.5mm cable and connect the audio to your audio out (green) port of your PC and use the provided 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to connect to your mic (pink) port on your PC for full functionality; Or you can connect the provided optical cable to an optical port on your PC for audio. Note that the mic is not supported via the optical cable connection method.

So far any problems with Carcharias? hmm.gif

Common problem would be 1 sided audio , you'll need to adjust the volume properly to get both side audio back. Something that is due to their improper soldering.

Alternatively, try contacting the distro and see if you post your keyboard there instead.

thanks for the feedback...imperator is a bit shorter compare to deathadder, while taipan is a bit thinner..
i like the adjustable thumb buttons on the imperator though...

i did read some review, but i still cant make up my mind...
the size of taipan is holding me back...the measurements are bit smaller than my current mouse, Ms Habu...
but most reviews say the mouse is very ergonomic and very comfortable...

If you have problems choosing, Lachesis is another I would recommend. Being ambidextrous, it can never go wrong. You can either palm or claw it, and the size is quite okay. Although the sensor is quite an old one, but it's the best mouse I'd go for if you have trouble choosing.
