Difference is the key switch and build finish. One is using Cherry MX Blue and the other is Cherry MX Brown (Stealth)

One is Matte finish(Stealth) and the other is a finger print magnet gloss (Ultimate)

Have to go and try em out for yourself. But once you go for mechanical keyboards, you`d most likely never look at membrane keyboard again..  tongue.gif

Thank you very much for the reply sifu notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
You have made things much clearer now~

Based on what I've read, the Stealth version is supposed to be quieter right? haha, that doesn't seem to be the case based on some Youtube videos I saw lol~
Guess I'll have to go and check out the real thing... I think MX blue will fit me better, but I hate glossiness doh.gif

Yeah, I've tried mechanical keyboards before on those very old keyboards from yesteryears haha, really love the way they type and sound, which is why I've decided to spend a little bit more this time on a keyboard thumbup.gif

Thanks again ya!!

P/S: Any idea where to get cheap Razer Products guys? There seems to be a lot of people selling Razer products in Garage Sales haha

Anyway, I've noticed that the left mouse button of my Abyssus, after almost 1.5 years of constant torturing, has sort of "sunk" abit, thus reducing the clicking travel. This has made it a bit less comfortable for clicking, especially so when simultaneously left-clicking hmm.gif
Also, I've noticed that all the left and right mouse buttons for all Razer buttons have the same design... so I was wondering whether you guys are also experiencing this type of problems? notworthy.gif

Yea, its a finger print magnet the BWU doh.gif . The BWU Stealth is quieter and doesnt really have that tactile feeback, i mean you dont have to really press down as hard as the BWU. The Matte finish is a +1, no finger prints! icon_idea.gif

If you buy several items then most probably they will give you discount. Can get from lingloong or idealtech or bluerhinoit here in GS, very good sellers. Done several transactions from them. Another option is to look at Steelseries mechanical keyboards, i.e. the 6Gv2 or 7G (Can get from heavyarm)

the 2013 version of blackwidows are all all in matte, no more gloss. so the difference of bwus and bwu 2013 is the switches and the color of led, as well as led intensity (the area around the keycaps are alot brighter for 2013 bwu) smile.gif

Is the BWU Tournament using the same rubbery surface of the old BWU?

Haha, I get you bro..
Its just my personal preference... If it comes in blue then it'll be very easy for me to pick haha~
The new BWU 2013's individual backlit lights are really bright and cool, love them as well~

I'm using an Abyssus, so it'll be nicer to match blue with blue too laugh.gif

Kinda like a decorative item for me. People go WOW or WTF is that when they see it. The mouse bungee is a nice touch though, hang up mouse cable with it and you`ll feel like using a wireless mouse with it. But it compliments the Blue/Black Razer set nicely. brows.gif

those kind of stands are only useful if you think the wires are a hindrance and want something to keep it off the surface... roccat apuri comes with 4 usb port to use as well. but again, u can get 10 usb hub at a less cheaper price. (gotta admit it looks very cool though biggrin.gif )

Thanks again guys notworthy.gif

Yeah I have to admit it does look pretty cool altogether... but I guess I'll spend my money on the essentials first i.e. mouse and keyboard haha, quite excited to be able to type on a mechanical keyboard, looking forward to it~
Its really a shame that the 2013 only comes in green >____< I really like the LED backlit lightings

I must say, you're gonna love the BlackWidow Ultimate (mine is the Mass Effect 3, MX Blue ). I just got mine about a month ago, and loving it so much.

If you can stand the sound of the MX Blue, then I guess you'll be alright. It gets a lil bit used annoying at certain times (eg; I am sleeping and my lil bro mashing the keyboard to the max while playing LoL), and I must say, the sound is abit too loud

I never personally tried the MX Brown, but based on what I read on the internet, it would be *slightly* better than the MX Blue in terms of noise and general usage.

One thing though, don't get to addicted to Razer. I bought the BlackWidow Ultimate one day, and a Razer Naga Epic the next day, and a Razer Ironclad the day after lol rclxub.gif

Mamba is a great product, but for me it is kinda expensive compare to other lineup (such as the DeathAdder, Krait, Lachesis, [insert other mouse here]. The only thing that differentiate them between the above mention is the sensor.

I have the Naga Epic, and I rarely use a DPI higher than 2000. I only bought it because it has the wireless/wired function, and the 12 keypad button would prove more useful for my usage (FPSing and MMO alot) Yes, the standard Naga would be a more money-for-value buy.

So mamba is those who need wireless and high dpi(so high got what use?) so if just needed wire and lower DPI should just choose DA?
