Hi all...

Would like to know, why u all choose a confinement center rather than a CL? Isn't it a 1-1 CL is a better choice? And much cheaper?

And, is there a lift in the confinement center? Otherwise, have to ask the mummy to walk up and downstairs post delivery.... painful wei.... cry.gif

Actually I'm trying to look for the comments of confinement centers around Selangor area... I noted that recently there r not much reviews... most of the confinement centers already closed down? Then I left with not much choices now... sad.gif

My wife currently at confinement center at KL for 2nd week, can refer fb link for the information, also can PM me for more details. I found this confinement center at baby fair and choose it after compare with other confinement center I asked.

1 month ago, my wife sister in-law hire a CL and what I can see the different are the meal for mom, the baby care, the environment, the course they provided. From my in-law story to us, they are not happy having that CL in their house.

At CC (confinement center), I can stay there to accompany my wife and baby. At night we can send baby to baby room and there are real nurse to take care the babies, we can have enough rest during the night. If baby hungry, they will warm the extra breast milk from mom and feed baby. Luckily my wife produce enough milk for the night. If not enough milk during first few days, they will ask if you have formula milk to feed baby before mom have enough milk.

The meal they provide are also balance and complete, main dish, side dish, vege, soup, and many herb tea, morning, lunch and dinner + tea break (soup or dessert)

They also provide course on meal, baby care, yoga, breast feeding,

If hire CL, early morning kong kong kang kang already at kitchen cooking disturb in-law sleep, cooking gas few tong a week, and in-law need to cook dinner for CL also, If some good CL able to cook for whole family. Most CL are just doing their job and do not educate much on baby care, too work oriented till i cannot feel they love baby, but just to complete their job.

my friend had bad experience staying at esther postpartum recently..it was overbooked (must be greedy) and she was asked to stay at another block...
according to her, the food was bland and the tea provided (only hint of red dates) also quite tasteless..doesnt help to promote breast milk..the room has alot of mosquitoes..and she was asked to change room few times during her stay there to accomodate new mummy coming in..very unprofessional service staff..
no free laundry except for the red ugly pyjamas they wear everyday.. was considering that place..but after hearing all these negative feedbacks...will keep looking...
For 15k,+ she was expecting better than this..anyway, thats' her experience...

My friend also had a terrible experience from Esther postpartum. Initially his daughter was healthy and clear from any illness, but after came out from this center, his poor daughter had pneumonia (肺炎) spread by other infected baby, and his daughter is 3rd case, thanks god his daughter is recovered. His wife complained to their taiwan HQ but never get feedback/reply from them, just keep silent. Outside looks very luxury but service is horrible. Think twice before send your precious one there.

I saw a few comments on Esther Postpartum Care. My wife stayed there for a month earlier this year. It was the 2nd place we looked at and immediately signed up coz for Father’s Day offer of 20 percent discount at rm 13k (cheapest package) with some freebies. Chose this because another family there said this is the best LOL 😅

Anyways my intent was for wife to recuperate and get the luxury treatment vs staying at home (so she come out healthier and more energetic and not stress) and I would say Esther care fulfilled that role.

IMHO the service was excellent. The nurses were at our beck and call (give or take couple of mins), doctors were friendly, there was a Taiwan specialist who teach how to breastfeed and she made great friends there.

Some of the small nice touches is that they use KAO merries diapers (most expensive diaper brand in the market and supposedly best), sebamed toiletries, 40-50 inch TVs (for husbands like me to play PS4), swimming for babies, etc

But I also heard complaints from them similar to what some of the above mentioned so hopefully they look into it.

Wifey just recently checked out from Bondavilla. Pretty good experience. The outstanding thing about this centre is their food.

Chef's an Indonesian Christian. Cooking is not bad, but traditional Chinese may chaff.

My MIL picked on the type of vegs, lack of ginger, type of meat, and cooking style, but my wife enjoyed her meals. biggrin.gif

I heard good reviews of the place but personally the interior is a turn off to me

Looks like land before time

Check out the flooring and bathroom sink. The sink is yellowish and flooring is in your grandfather's time

Anyway, this is in Subang. You rarely go wrong in Subang because ppl here very vocal

Have tried Sunrise Confinement centre in year 2012 (NOV) what i can relli say is they are sucks. Been observing about the services and how they handle the babies and felt heartbroken on what they have done to my 2nd daughter.
First you can see the baby sitter handle yr baby (not only mine, but all of the babies except her own daughter's baby) roughly. The baby sitter will get the baby for morning bath (real morning yo, 5am to 6am), imagine how bb can handle the cold, and the worst thing is right after taking bath they will place bb in the aircond (freezing) room. The most hated things comes when someone told my wife (definately one of the mummy there) that the baby sitter too lazy to swing two baby in different swing bed so the baby sitter place my bb at that time still healthy together with another bb( fall sick, with flu) in the same swing bed. WTH, we still din't do anything towards the baby sitter because we dun want to make things worse especially baby still under her care, then the expected things happen, finally my bb got infected and me have to run few rounds to hospital and clinic.
Just a few days my bb affected, that particular bb sitter's daughter's delivered bb and will also stay in Sun Rise confinement, the previous sick bb and mom already finish their stay so they move out before the baby sitter granddaughter came in, unlucky to my bb, once her granddaughter  in they simply kick  (move) my bb out from bb room and place her at the kitchen where there are a lot of mosquito with no proper air ventilation. I was relli furious that time and decided to move my wife and bb back home on that evening (wife was crying seeing my baby being bullied in that way, what a innocent one).
There are few  point to be consider of,
1, why the baby sitter did not isolate the sick baby (previous one) and do not mix with others healthy baby?
2, Why Sunrise confinement centre boss allowed the baby sitter to let baby take their bath in 5am?
3, Why only isolate my baby after the baby sitter granddaughter move in?
4, For extra info, this baby sitter is not just a baby sitter in Sunrise confinement centre, in fact during morning shift she is a baby sitter at nearby confinement centre, during her service in sunrise (night shift) she will just sleep at the baby's room with full aircond running.

Conclusion, have made a complain to the sunrise confinement centre boss and the boss just simply replied, nothing we can do. Really disappointed with the irresponsible respond. For those who are staying in Penang, and who are looking for confinement centre, pls beware and choose wisely, try to avoid Sunrise Confinement centre. There are still many bad thing happen during my wife and 2nd daughter stay there, its just too much to write it here. Anyway just wanna share my bad experience here and i am not a very particular here, as my elder daughter time we are also enroll in another confinement centre and they provide good service there, but unfortunately the confinement close down during my 2nd daughter time.

Thanks for sharing the horrible experience. Guess what? I just check out their Facebook page and found out their reviews are hidden ;p

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Why not hire a confinement lady to your house? I know a good one is hard to come by. But at least you get 24 hrs care.

Hi, I think you've misundeestood kashirachiam's negative feedback on your confinement food.

I mean come on, if you're going to deliver at 2pm, just say so la

Don't say 12pm but deliver at 2pm.

It pisses ppl off generally

How would you feel if you were her?

Because if it happens to me, I would ensure you go viral

Had a bad experience at SN Confinement Centre in Sri Petaling, not recommended.

- not all confinement ladies there are good, really depends on your luck.
- food is lousy, poor quality ingredients and not tasty. soup taste like water. what u see on their fb is what u "dont" get.
- got ghost there (place is not clean in chinese saying), one of the ladies staying there said she saw something crawling about. Asked the confinement lady about this phenomenon and she confirmed its true she also saw. I dont believe in this so i dont care but its very disturbing.
- rooms are subpar for the price, some got hardly any sunlight. Mattress is lousy and bedframe is so creaky. furniture is old.
- milk quality is not as advertised, say they will give u one brand but in fact sometimes they use cheaper brand.

Yixin confinement, I have really no words to complaint. We did clarify clearly at the first place, if encounter any emergency circumstances , our deposit that we paid can be refundable..and of course when collecting money, they would telling you everything OK unless we can present the hospital relevant letter..

Unluckily, there was unpredictable situation happened to my baby, and my wife unable to stay at yixin xonfinement, we quickly requested for refund and show doctor write in letter, but the person in charge told us their partnership can only approve 50% of deposit to return to us. Fine, to be fair that, I agree with you because you also need to bear the loss..

Finally, when I going to claim back our 50% deposit again, the different ppl informed us the company rules state that it is non refundable, even single cent. They are trying to fool their client anyway.. very depress.
I have nothing to do now, so if you want to choose yixin confinement, better think twice. I have my lesson learned, so you decide yourself.

Yi Xin confinement

Thanks for the feedback. Really helpful for the mummy to decide which centre to go to. Their fb page having all the good feedback from their “customer” really misleading us in believing they r good.. sighh 😌
