true, but they never specify which country first.

if i'm not mistaken, when they launched the previous latest 7.5 firmware update, Malaysia is one of the few last countries to get it so i'm not surprised for the 7.8 that will also be the case.

whatever it is, though i'm very excited to get the new home screen because i will no longer have a very looooong home screen hahaha but other than that, the vital improvements isn't much so yeah, doesn't hurt to wait.

Actually i also wanna try the new home screen, others function i dont know

the new home screen from the looks of it is great because it's like having everything on one same page, sorta like what can be seen i Android and iOS however this is better because of the various sizes, giving it a not so "dead" look. then again, the iconic gap on the right side of the screen is no longer there =(

perhaps the "other features" that i'm really looking forward to try in the 7.8 firmware update is the Bluetooth transfer. That will be utmost convenient. sad thing is that, there is still no orientation lock -.- i can't even read stuffs properly when i'm in bed

For me I hope WP7.8 will improve the macro focusing system. Bluetooth file transfer also quite important.

no mention on the improvement of camera thought, 7.8 is more to a cosmetic upgrade than anything else =/

Go install the nokia drive data 1st, very useful for emergencies. "Counters" also useful to check data usage.

Guys is there any apps in WP that function like pocket or flipboard?

Phone just dropped and my touch screen doesn't work. Restarted the phone and it worked for awhile. After that, the touch screen no longer works no matter how many times I restarted. Buttons are still functioning. Is it possible the sensor is damaged?

Anyone experienced this before?

Heard that Amcorp Mall can service it but it will take 3-4 days.

Funny how the Lumia is not as durable as how it was represented eh? Mine has minor cracks on the side of the glass when i dropped it from the waistline level whereas those videos posted on youtube shows even being rolled over by car, the phone remains intact -.-

Probably the one they shipped over here has poorer built quality?

Anyway, your issue. The touch screen doesn't work meaning to say it's not responding to gestures or it just doesn't power up?

In any event, if you bring your phone to a Nokia Store for repair, you can ask for a temporary phone in which you'll get the same model for temporary usage until they passed back yours. This is however subject to availability.

Hi shaniandras2787. The touch screen doesn't respond anymore. Worst, last night it was stuck in NOKIA screen.

I brought it to the Nokia Care centre in Amcorp Mall. Very few people in the morning, which is a good time to go. My phone is still under warranty (staff checked imei from phone, no need for warranty card, just bring in case). Staff wanted to lend a temporary phone but my sim card doesn't fit and their phone is half broken so end up no temporary phone borrowed. Gave me a receipt. Software problem should be 3 - 4 days. Hardware problem should be 1 week.

They don't have a spare Lumia 800 to lend huh

received my replacement digitizer + lcd glass that i purchased from ebay couple of weeks ago. going to diy tonight.

the price is about usd56 (rm170++) only with postage. nokia charge me more than rm600 for the replacement of crack lcd while third party shop want to charge me rm450. crazy.

how long does it take to arrive to your home after ordering?
