No I have not install anything yet, was testing the tank for any leakage. But when I install the lighting it will definitely go higher.

I got it custom made (105 x 40 x 40), I would need a 4ft light for it right?

yes, you need use 4feet light.
but it will be quite annoying since light casing will be longer than your aquarium size.

My current tank... my HM melt like hell after 1st trimimg fells like wanna just take them all out.. my japanese hair grass out competing my hc... oso mayb gonna remove all my hc... not good...

i prefer not to add any chemical that may cause death to my precious malayan shrimp..


what fauna you have in your tank??

some small fish that looks like ikan pari. hahaah. i saw that at midvalley few months ago.
not sure if this little fish will hunt shrimps or not.

Tat is a borneo algae eater.. kindda okay algae remover.. but not as good as otto in my opinion..
ermm.. so far i only saw him eat algae.. N didnt touch my cherry shrimp

if i not mistaken, you are using super clear right?
what light you using? it seems very bright

maybe because of the light is too bright, make your HM melted.

those r high power LED aka spot light?

Erm. the lights im using is led flood lights can get 10w for rm50 n 20w for rm80. im using 2 x 10w n 1 x 20w.. i just get it at my local light fixture shop.. hmmm.. may b too strong i'll try to adjust d height of d light to cut down d intensity... will report in if things get better...

just buy mini puffer..
this fish not eat or kacau yamato and other fish..
other shrimp i dont know..
because in my 2 ft tank have 4 mini puffer..

hey guys any idea where i can get killifish in KL? i dont want eggs but i want live fish...a pair if possible...looking for several types...i think i like them more then betta now !
