QUOTE(samlee860407 @ May 21 2012, 08:13 AM) Yup this is correct QUOTE(memphiz_zero88 @ May 21 2012, 09:25 AM) from what other forumers said, you need to put phone numbers according to address in battle.net account. This one is SMS alert. Yes the mobile number need to match b.net address for SMS alert.so if you put US address in your account, you cannot use Malaysian phone number. wish I have a smartphone now, I need the autheticator. |

Even if you have an authenticator, you will still get hacked if you don't practice safe web browsing.
For those who can't afford or think getting an authenticator is a lot of hassle, you can always follow these steps 1) There are a lot of con websites who claims to be Blizzard and send you emails, saying that they want you to click this link or give your username and password to verify details. Always remember Blizzard will never ask for your username and password, be it email or ingame. Careful when clicking email links. 2) Make sure your password is hard one to figure out. Change your password regularly. 3) Here's another great tip. When you key in your password, do not enter them in sequence. Always key them in non-sequence to fool keyloggers. Example, if your password is abc123, you can enter 'c12' first, then move your mouse to before 'c' and enter 'ab', then move your mouse to after '2' and enter '3' When you press enter, your password will be abc123 But to keyloggers, your password will look like c12ab3 Hope this helps. |

'move' your bnet account to another mailing service after you have recovered your stuff. some might argue this is not necessarily but do understand the hidden threat: your mailing account hooked to your current bnet account might also be compromised, and some of them would have certain backup-plans for you to recover your password, in which haxxor can take advantage of. 3. protect your pc, by any means necessary. other than installing AV and do regular scans and hope it will protect it, try to restrict/ block others from accessing your pc, or installing stuff into it. if there's malware/ virus/ trojan detect in it, disable any form of network and internet access and limit resources to be inward only and stop any type of login related action using that pc other than window login. |

I seperate my b.net e-mail address. In fact its not my normal gmail or something. Its unique in my own domain. I recommend you to use your ISPs e-mail address such as from @streamyx.com or @unifi. This is vital , because you would be less attacked. I don't get scam mails from these e-mail address (except for TM's junk mail)
Probably someone installed a keylogger in your PC. Happens if you have been pirating games or been using cracks. I've seen some cracks which include a keylogger as well , so be warned ! Attach your authentication tool (for android/iOS) , its important. TL;DR Version 1. Authenticator tool 2. Use a different e-mail address (dont use your gmail , hotmail , use your ISP mail) 3. Keep a unique password 4. Scan PC for keyloggers ! (not sure ? - format and reinstall clean) |

I want to get battle.net authenticator. Where can I get it here in Malaysia? I have no smartphone yet. If the cost of buying battle.net authenticator is cheaper than buying android/iphone phone, should be suffice.
Browsing blizzard store indicating that none will be shipped to Malaysian address. Any reputable reseller here? Mean, I just buy the authenticator from the seller in Malaysia. |
