Hi, Im new here.I dont know if im in the right thread.
Is anyone had tried doing wire trick before?
I already tried and failed now i cannot changed back to normal. Now my phone stuck at jounpunutbear screen every time i turn on. what should i do?im afraid that my phone might be brick.
I just got back from the htc store and they said they will send to the technician and has to wait 1 week, haihh.dont know if its can solve or not.
Is anyone out there expert with this?please help me. cry.gif
*
I don't think you should send it in to HTC as you have place your device into a condition in which your warranty should be void. They will void your warranty if they know what you did.
Anyway, did you place your device in HTC Sync mode prior before performing the steps before wire trick? Make sure you select HTC Synce mode and tick Do not ask again
Then perform the steps and the wire trick. I'm sure you will get it right. smile.gif

Bro, it can done by go settings / language & keyboard / htc sense input / untick trace keyboard than go to htc advance input/ tick the text prediction ..

This issue already brought in ViperSs  XDA thread .. pls check there few pages back ..
*
Thanks. Haven't checked at XDA that's why. laugh.gif

Isn't it too risky to use wire trick? I might need to do it for my bro's XE as his unit already updated stock ics 4.0.3 . But so far i think i dun have confidence to do it
*
Don't worry. It's very easier than you think. smile.gif

Added on July 9, 2012, 8:10 pmBy the way, shouldn't ROM devs use One S based ROM for HTC Sensation since there's a version of One S which is using Snapdragon S3 processor which means MHL may work if we're having custom ROMs based on One S? hmm.gif
Personal thoughts.

*
You may change the way the multitask window show. You can use the default Android version. smile.gif Change in the Venom Tweaks. smile.gif

I m using viper Rom since 4 th July , well it serve me quite well till today, battery consumption is acceptable for me...

Personally, I think it's a great ROM as well. But in terms of smoothness, we seriously need Jelly Bean's Project Butter!! laugh.gif

this is the map:
stock rom ------root----->s-off----->super cid----->firmware------->recovery--------->custom rom
*
I don't think this is a definite step. I did not root before installing ROM. All I did was S-Off. And of course I need recovery.

I think you're right...all we need is recovery...which required s-off of course...
the reason i root my phone before installing a custom rom is to be able to use titanium backup to backup all my downloaded apps.
*
Ahh, yes yes. I did not root cause my device was clean when I did S-Off so no point rooting first.

QUOTE(alphaz @ Aug 2 2012, 09:59 AM)
s-off isn't required to flash rom and recovery. mine is still s-on because my hboot version is tricky to s-off, so i flash custom rom by following this guide

[GUIDE] Flashing roms with S-ON and 1.27 HBOOT
*
I have Hboot version 1.27 as well. But I S-Off. Guess they came out with another method then. hmm.gif

QUOTE(droidtrix @ Aug 2 2012, 11:14 AM)
I have been encountered that latest ViperSs 1.1.0 Rom, more jerky than earlier version, homescreen getting choppy each time when i switch to landscape or during playing games.. More Laggy than before..

Did any1 face this ? I using Bricked Kernel 1.4 as cooked in the ROM..
*
In forum.xda, there's so many negative feedback about ViperSs 1.1.0. doh.gif
So, should I update? hmm.gif

The reason i flashed this v1.5.1 sebastian kernel because it has USB OTG feature. I wanted to test this.. well it is really good . I can play music frm pen drive straight away with copying to my sd card....
*
Really? Can support USB OTG?! Nice. I think I will use Sebastian as well then. Anyway, how is the battery life compared to Bricked 1.6? hmm.gif
Oh, so troublesome arh? Need external power supply to power even a pendrive. doh.gif Still worth the try. hmm.gif

QUOTE(queenc @ Aug 8 2012, 10:49 PM)
what is the function usb OTG???
can give example??

like we plug iphone in usb port (car audio ) and the stereo system play our music inside our phone?
*
Which means using an adaptor, we can view files in let's say a pendrive or external harddisk using our phone. smile.gif

Yes, awesome!
And yes, we need to purchase an additional cable. They're sellers selling third party cables which is cheap. However, do note that you will also need a Y-cable to connect the USB to a power supply as our chipset is not capable of providing power from the MicroUSB port. smile.gif

btw need power..cant we just increase the volt in system tuner brows.gif  brows.gif
/joke

Yep, a little bit of a hassle considering a 64GB MicroSDXC would cost around 200 plus, it's better to get MicroSD expansion.
Anyway, nope, the Micro USB port on our device is only capable of receiving power not transmitting power. smile.gif

Sebastian kernel seems to be smoother on Viperss ROM but also seem to be hotter. hmm.gif
Going to try USB OTG now. rclxms.gif

Added on August 9, 2012, 11:04 amDarn it, my Y-Cable does not have a USB female port.
The only harddisk that can be connected showed as a non-supported File Format. doh.gif

QUOTE(queenc @ Aug 10 2012, 12:28 AM)
hmmm same like me..
last time...i really eager to try sense (htc)
so i choose XE.
btw just go any phone shop try both hp on ur own hand.feel with ur hand.

IHMO
S2
screen nice, , smooth ( that what people tell me), lighter, easy to find  fancy case
cons - feel plastic, too thin?? battery so-so, the back cover so thin easier to feel hot on ur hand.

XE
battery super (custom rom can last 14hours heavy whatapp), sense is nice, super nice sense widget, free beats earphone,n got free htc gps ( location ), feel tougher

cons: abit heavy (compare to s2), screen not so nice (IF compare with S2).
lagging???( not sure) mine super crispy smooth.sound not so loud(can be fix)

Evo3d
3d 3d 3d 3d 3d 3d 3d 3d 3d

cons
screen same like XE
heavy than XE
thicker

/do note what  i hate about htc is really really hard to get fancy case like S2 n iphone do.
*
S2 screen resolution is too low to be a current generation device. Current generation Android devices should be at least qHD in my opinion. Go for Nexus is the best actually. Best updates. tongue.gif
