jz wann to ask, if i would to sub out 1 of my offensive skill, which will b subout? the ruthless or weapon mastery? which 1 has d less dmg output?

QUOTE(Aura @ Jul 17 2012, 09:36 AM)
Try getting a shield instead for now since ur current stats cannot support dual wielding.... Also, take out ruthless and swap in tough as nails or u can take out nerves of steel with tough as nails since ur vit is too low and nerves of steel won't give u a lot of def...
*
Already stated on my previous post... Dmg output will not vary very much.... Ruthless will hav a higher dmg output than weapon mastery.... But why i recommend that ruthless is remained there is bcos of the crit hit chance... Although ruthless gives u more DPS output (which is just like 200 dmg difference only), the reason why weapon mastery remains there is bcos of the crit hit chance.... U will proc more crit hit but just slightly lower dmg which in turns, if u r atking fast, then more DPS is inflicted thus, weapon mastery is more effective....

I did state everything very clearly in my previous post unless u din read it... I dun think that my post is hard to understand....

For this matter, very subjective.... But I can tell u the recommended stats u should aim for.... These values are IMO only.... Others may have other opinions....

Decent stats will be around this values:
HP = 55k
DPS = 35k

U can aim for these 2 goals 1st... Run every run with double armor passives which ur armor can reach till around 9k with decent eq.... As ur STR develops, so does ur defense... So, for this matter, u dun need to worry too much....

As for shield, block rate doesn't matter much... All u wan is to get as much stats increase as possible.... For me, I can settle for around 16%-20%.... The reason why I'm not aiming for the block chance % modifier is bcos that property alone makes the shield very expensive....

Why I say it is subjective is bcos D3's char building system is all about balance.... The actual values doesn't matter quite much as long as u hav the correct balance.... For example, if u hav 1k AR but ur HP is like 30k, u still will get raped anyways.... That's why it's hard to justify how much exact stats u need based on ur playstyle...

Hope this helps...

Thank You! LOL..finally i get the answer i wan. Was trying to ask u few times from my post and get no answers LOL. Thanks btw =D. will try to hit tat HP and armor ....=) CHeers

editted: cuz i tried with high AR=get raped, then i change my gears to high HP=get rape, then change again to high dps=get rape. Thats why come here to ask for help haha

editted2: another question, just wan to ask about the stats on belts "Increase Crit chance of revenge by 3%", does that mean only my Revenge increase 3% crit(means only revenge has higher critical, while other skills like bash/frenzy still remain the same crit chance), or my overall crit chance increase(which means all the skills)?

I've already stated why I din give exact numbers on my previous post because those stats might not apply to ur current build.... That's something for u to figure out urself since I dunno how u do ur runs anyways....

Also, the information that I shared is actually the answers.... Although it doesn't give out the exact number of values, but that's ur answer to everything... How much u wan ur stats to be is totally up to u as long as u can strike a balance to suit ur playstyle....

1. U should realize that earlier when u did the 1st one... I told u is about balance....

2. It's stated very clearly that it only works for one skill... Others are not affected by that effect.... Otherwise, that item will say something like this right?? -> "Increase crit chance of all barbarian skills by 3%"

im confuse by what it writes, wad i interpret is that

1)after i used Revenge, my crit chance increase by 3%. Which means my overall crit chance also increase such as Frenzy etc etc

OR

2)when i use revenge, only revenge has crit chance added by 3%

If cant understand, here is an example for 1)

My crit chance now is 45%, after i use Revenge, it become 48%, thus my Frenzy al has 48% crit chance

case 2)

My crit now is 45%, after i use revenge, ONLY Revenge has higher crit , but then my base crit still remains 45% which thus my Frenzy will still be at 45% crit chance.

Only 1 skill is affected... it only applies to revenge... For the matter of whether the change is before or after revenge is used, I dunno about that since I dun hav any eq which has similar property as urs so I can't test this out.... Maybe someone should share this info....

May I know which gear you are referring to?
I checked at AH just now, Crit DMG + LOH + Socket weapons are still priced sky-high.

that's a common gearing mistake for people on a budget, you shouldn't look for ALL desired stats in one piece

if you do, it's really sexpensive

Nope. Do not spend more than 300K on gears until LVL60.
For some reason, the game only starts at Inferno with your hero in LVL60.

My Monk is now in LVL51 and I have not spent more than 100K on gears.
I could spend less because my Monk can use some of the old gears from my Barb.

true true,

if u lump all the stats u want on a single EQ, then the cost is gonna bomb..usually i try to set the total stat i want first, then divide it into all 13 EQs, get the average, then only start mix and matching, mean if no str at armor try compensate the missing STR amount at other EQs or average the amount short with the balance of the EQs...

or u can do a focus 1 EQ, like Chest armor all STR & AR, Pant all VIT & AR. For Crit Chance% & Crit Damage% also, if together expensive, so split them up.

another is i usually try to find those just below the perfect value, the price differ so very much sumtimes for a diffrence of +/-10 stats or 1-2%, like between:

200 STR & 190/180 STR

20% MF & 19/18% MF

80 AR & 78/79 AR

because ppl tend to overprice perfect stats

Crit DMG + LOH + Socket can be 2 stats.
Meaning it's either Crit DMG + Socket or LOH + socket.
I didn't even mention + STR or + VIT.

I still find the price is high.
Perhaps you can show us the specs and price of the weapon.
It could help us to get some cheap weapons. I hope my Barb can dual-wield in A3 and A4 too.

It is easy for +STR and +VIT but not for +AR, +Crit chance and +LOH.
There are many items come with 200++ STR and VIT.

Like HaRuaN.X said, look for pieces that only has 1-2 stats you want, then recover those stats in other pieces.

Achieving balance is the most difficult of all.
As you said, high HP + high DPS could be the way to go.

Similar build from this thread. High HP+High DPS but below average armor + AR.
This build could be good for boss fight. I'm not sure how effective it is when it comes to elites fight (i.e. 2 packs).

The weapon on the left has BO of 2m and no bids, the one on the right is only 400k.

The one on the left seems expensive, but you save 300 stat points which means you have tons of freedom to go AR or crit on other pieces.

The one on the right is value for money.

I watched the clip before.
This build has 30K DPS / 48K HP / 400AR / 390 LOH / 6500 Armor.

It is not a balance build.
High DPS & HP but average-below average AR/LOH/Armor.

that's because he's using DPS passives

also the higher your DPS as sword and board, the faster you can kill thus needing less LOH
