currently on Act 3 heart of curse nightmare

dual wield fist weapons

seven strike or serenity, dashing strike, cyclone strike, any mantras +

way of thunder fists, crippling wave

passives:
transendence
Seize the initiative
Beacon of Ytar

basically i use cyclone strike pull enemies to me and aoe damage, pulling can interrupts enemy's big move or channeling skills, also help teammate easily aoe dps at me, and saving teammates from enemy

pulling enemies to me can be very risky, when in danger,I will use serenity become invincible buy sometime to generate spirit and re-heal myself, or drink potion incase not enough time to heal, and with gears support life per hit and life after kill

also a tanker lol,

dashing strike to chase cowards

dashing strike I usually use to stun an enemy or bosses,
because dashing strike and cyclone strike are instant skill no cooldown time, I can use them repeatly, healing and keep myself alive. cripping wave generates spirit very fast

thats how I play it at the moment, this is not recommend if you dont have good enough gear set

soon I will try passive improve dodge and evasion mantras, see if it helps,
if can dodge most of enemy attacks, it's better than high armor tanking



by the way, do you guys use dyes?

I make my helm, bracer and shoulder vanish dye, so my monk looks like a real Monk, without fancy bracers, bare hands with knucklers, wear only monk clothes

Finished the game in normal and now NIGHTMARE MOOD !

It's fun playing as monk.

Here is my built:
Thunder Fist
Exploding palm
Healing
Seven Sided Strike
Mantra of Healing

Passive skills
add 100max spirit
dual wield +15 doge chance
add doge chance

my eq is around 450dps and 2khp fin normal like nth with that built lolz

MY DPS quite low le, how you guys get so high DPS. =.="

high powered weapons plus + dex.

it's all about gear

I got 1.7k dps now , with decent gears

noob question.. can monk lvl 9 solo SK..?

which of these 3 primary attack good to pair with cyclone ha... so far I find it hard to decide between thunder fist, crippling wave, and 100fists... in terms of dps to groups surrounding u due to cyclone pull all in...

imo its crippling wave cuz 3rd strike is 360.

Try to save more money. I play monk hardly purchase anything from npc. At the end I had like 400k gold at around Ur lvl. played nightmare then start buying ah gear. Choose wisely as there are lots of them. Go for those price lower with reasonable stats.

'Cause my level 35 monk only has 4K HP but with 801 DPS
But yeah very paper... AHHAHAH

Can, but quite difficult.
I solo-ed at level 8, kept running around trying to stay alive lolol

any good spot for farming gear/gold in nightmare mode?

At lvl 37 this is what i have. Noob MONK

Level 41, just finished Nightmare Mode Act II.

I lvl41 only half your dps, 4k life, even more noob

Perhaps we can go on Nightmare together, I just killed the Butcher last night.
We can do Act 2 together, maybe tonight around 8:30pm
