I was playing Normal Mode and I already commented boring stuff after finish Act II cos it was mindless hack and slash, only die when overconfident with mob.

when I play Nightmare mode, it's OH YEAHHH!!!

I guess I suk playing as a Monk. The dude always out of Fury (?) Is it Fury?. Oh man... I always have my 2, 3 and 4 grayed out while 1 is still cooling down. WTF man.

Spirit. Normal setup is 1 Spirit Generator (the first 4 Primary skills), 1 DPS skill, 4 support skills. You likely need to adjust your Spirit usage to match your Spirit generation, or go dual wield with Daggers or Fist weapons to generate Spirit faster. If you prefer slow attack speed weapons, go for DPS skills like Exploding Palm and Sweeping Wind.

my skills la.........

1. heal
2. wind (dmg generator
3. seven sided strike (run to enemy, use this, then release spinning kick. run.....)
4. sp generating skill (available at higher level).

i also set the mantra to "heal when sp used" so rather than waiting for heal cooldown, i can use items 2 - 3- 4 - and sweeping kick (RMB) all that uses SP to heal. of course Q button is always there la.

hint to fast finish - run fast fast past all them monsters.

but if you don't level up ah, Nightmare mode is tough, though I think they monsters are still based on your character level, the weapon you have would help.

imagine la, my Monk at level 31 or so, killed Diablo in ONE attempt. easy stuff.

go Nightmare mode ah, shortly pass the Act I to go to cemetary only ahhh, already died. And died no less than 4 times just to kill that darn simple monster that throws mortar. At some point I felt.......

a) my character cannot pass Act I la (but in the end pass also. LOL)
b) maybe i should level up in normal mode first (in the end i didn't)
c) demon hunter would fare better as they have ranged weapon. shoot from far still better than me having to run up close. no joke if it's 3 huge monster with flaming chains, or those that release laser beams, or those with frost blast. so on so forth.

what is the equipment a monk should strive for ? Only dex ? or other else ?

base on your experience.. whats the best lvl to start for nightmare?

Aim for Dex and Vit items. In fact my Monk has more Vit items than Dex. No matter how high your Dex, you can only dodge so much, without high Vit, in higher difficulties 2-3 hits and you're dead.

Consider putting in some Int as well to bump up your resistance.

for me.. im looking for str,dex and vit equipment. as one of the passive skill, dex can convert 100% to armor, so dex + str = total armor.. socket red ruby to the weapons to boost attack..

mobs got a fixed level one.

i repeat certain boss quests over and over to level up, then i breeze through the rest of the act.

yup. x2 daggers with dex 100++

got IAS (increased attack speed) from ring 4% and gloves 13%
and 15% from enchantress i think.

2.17 attacks per second yay.
