Considering Aquero's pay at 200k per week.....unlikely....

IF FSG pocketed the money, the sales would not have gone through.
It s an open secret that the sales of Torres was hinged to buying of Carroll.
On top of that, you think the creditors would be happy joes if FSG pocketed
the sales monies from Liverpool FC?

You are now trying to hide your false assumption by arguing semantics. You said FSG came out with 100mil hard cash, and that we don't have to sell in order to buy. That is simply not true.

You pocket something if you made profit normally.

i think we all need to remember that the money NESV invested is not just the about 50m spent on buying players. NESV invested more than 200m (is it?) to take over liverpool. so after investing more than 200m, and the target has not been reached (top 4), i think from any business point of view, it's considered somewhat failed investment. so heads have to fly....

I think you guys forget...we were 7th last season and 8th now... You expect Aguero to come ...You must be kidding me.

All the talks about Gotze, Aguero and few others just show that some of you here who claimed to be realistic, failed to be a realist. Look where we are. The best we could do is raid some lower repu club for key players , hoping that other big clubs wont come for them.

Unfortunately they are still yankees. Americans are generally so full of hype and many of them still have the mindset that they know best.

Well, they appointed KD as interim manager - that's fine. Then they (through their expert managerial skills etc.) gave KD a 3 year contract - that's great. Then they fired him after one contractual year - that's strange. Then they said they wanted someone who'd stay around for 5 years - that's puzzling. Then they go around inviting people to come for an interview (and along the way, got a "whack" on their faces from Mr Rodgers!) - and that's embarrassing!

Yanks - do they really know how to go about doing things?! They should hire a team of Malaysian/Singaporean consultants to manage their business! No wonder the American economy is in such a pathetic state!

Come on...on the one hand you get your man to tell the world that Liverpool's way is 'the quiet (behind the door) way'. That sounds like they've been working ever so hard behind the scene and have a great manager lined up already plus a DOF, DOC etc.. before they fired the whole bunch. One would even be forgiven for wondering whether Guardiola's resignation from Barca and KD's being fired is rather coincidental (wow!)
