I'd prefer Gerrard sit deeper with Aquaman (provided he stays with us) further up the park. I think he'll thrive in Rodger's system of play. In the times that I've seen him near the opposition box, he's been composed, tidy and sharp. I see him as the pivot up front, not Stevie who as I said earlier, is more the lung bursting, blood and guts type player. If anything, we use Aquaman as the focal point in midfield with Stevie playing off him, looking to make runs at the opposition goal.
this i like, but just wonder where will lucas fit into this...
His consistent inclusion in the Dutch international squad is testimony to how important a player Dirk Kuyt is.
At one point, I was so frustrated with his first touch and his frequent losing of possession. However, as Rafa persisted with him, everyone could see what an important player he is.
He was friendly, appreciative and approachable too. When he was in KL last July, he led the other players in applauding us for our support. A truly fine christian man who did so much charitable work during his six years with the Reds.
those players actually needed more than one touch to settle the ball down first before passing.so if we are able to bring in a few technically better player those one touch passing can be more devastating.

Well, lest hope the new manager settles in well. Kenny was to engrossed in trying to prove that the English are better players and stuck'to his signings. We had some not to famous names and still won the European Cup.
