Yeah, my SA also saying the same thing, no wonder he cannot produce chassis number beforehand, shouldnt fucuk him also at 1st lol.. At sarawak distribution is at Kuching if not mistaken, they give stock to kuching only then kuching allocate for dealer all around sarawak, so we hardest to get car

Why is it almost everyone is very concern about FC but at the same time menyibuk pasal which car from Proton's stable can pawn/capable of pawning the Preve? I have never seen anyone in a Mercedes showroom saying, hey I gotta get the C250CGI because the C250CGI can pawn the E250CGI in terms of acceleration and topspeed coz its lighter, bla bla bla. Nor I have seen anyone in a BMW showroom saying, i gotta get a 328i because its lighter and smaller and therefore it is faster than the 528i.
If one treats the road like Sepang F1 Circuit every single day, every single time then this Preve isn't the car for you. You should just get a Caterham or KTM Xbow or something like that. Those cars are good indicators on how your destroyed face will looks like before you hit a tree. |

QUOTE(fraz006 @ May 14 2012, 10:00 AM) This is why i delayed my bank loan.hopefully i get preve that have been remapped ecu,and all other things fixed predelivery already. well nothing beats driving a car that is stil new and uncommon on d road. d feeling when ppl give thumbs up while seein ur car. got it a few times ytdy while driving. d feeling when ppl take pics of ur car plus peeking into ur car while parked. its just magical at d moment.About that drag race, think my blm manual can also beat preve, coz i put exhaust n k&n filter n coz manual is very2 good in torque efficiency.shit miss my blm. I don mind at all.getting old n no more fast furious for me. unfortunately with the affordable price tag, its gonna be common like hell. so y nt enjoy the minutes of fame while u still can |

I posted this on the Saga thread after receiving Kristof's reply on a couple of questions about the CVT
On the issue of CVT coasting in N. Bolded parts were my questions, the regular text is Kristof's answer, red text is my comment. QUOTE Hi Kristof, This is pertaining to the CVT system on the Proton Saga FLX. Is it safe to coast in N gear? Or allow the front wheels to spin at high speed in N gear? I have been told that it might damage the CVT. Is that true? No problem, as long as the engine is running! So, I conclude that: 1.) It is OK to coast in N, still generally not recommended in any car because you lose engine braking and no engine power during emergencies. And IF you engage D mode while the car is coasting, it may damage your CVT. 2.) Do not tow your car with the front wheels on the road, unless your engine is running. 3.) It is OK to do on wheel balancing, as long as your engine is running. FYI, the CVT oil pump runs on engine power, which is why you need a running engine. Thanks for your quick reply. Here is another one: When I Jack up the whole car, meaning the wheels are not touching the ground, and put the gear in D, the front wheels spins relatively slowly when I press the throttle pedal. This is different than my other 4AT car, which will spin at normal speed as if it is on the ground. Why is that? Because there is a recognition on this, the back wheels are standing still, causing the transmission not to shift up, unless you press it harder. No idea we had this feature in the CVT. Not sure what purpose it serves, though This post has been edited by dares: May 14 2012, 10:21 AM |
