QUOTE(K2002 @ May 14 2012, 09:38 AM) Dunno can ask proton to repaint for me... i dunno what color code also... Color code can be found on the front hood, somewhere around the driver's side. my door got three patch not color properly so maybe can ask them repaint then paint this small scratch. Dunno is it possible to repaint...i have the sierra glow there. after repaint dunno it will stick on it or not.. Mat79 is it advisable to ask proton repaint? not sure if the paint will stick on it or not? will they take off all the old paint and repaint? or just spray it then apply clear coat? what i worry is the paint spray will kena other place... maybe will also torn after a while...cause the sierra glow layer is very smooth... dunno the paint can stick there or not after repaint my passenger door...small patch got three patch around 2 inch wide each. only can be seen under the sun or light..at 25 or 30 degree angle.. and this is another thing here...the casing gap is too large.... today morning...my coin get into the hole...let you see the video i took...near the gear lever there. I just worry the 10 cent will destroy my cvt gear...is that the place the gear place? or got cover? how to take out coin that gets inside already...after toll plaza i put my coins on top of the cover there...it gets inside when i want to retrieve it... Your gearbox is under the hood, next to the engine and how a coin can destroy your CVT? Underneath that gear lever is all electonic board and some mechanical linkage only. Your CVT box wont get destroyed by a coin, so no worries. lol To take them out means its time to take off the whole center column or at least the transmission column. Added on May 14, 2012, 10:00 am QUOTE(dares @ May 14 2012, 09:56 AM) The bumper is not metal, it's plastic, so it won't rust don't worry. Don't know if Proton can repaint it, though of coz can lah but it will be slightly more expensive than outside. BTW, Genetic Silver is a very very common Proton color so try asking outside and see. Why is it almost everyone is very concern about FC but at the same time menyibuk pasal which car from Proton's stable can pawn/capable of pawning the Preve? I have never seen anyone in a Mercedes showroom saying, hey I gotta get the C250CGI because the C250CGI can pawn the E250CGI in terms of acceleration and topspeed coz its lighter, bla bla bla. Nor I have seen anyone in a BMW showroom saying, i gotta get a 328i because its lighter and smaller and therefore it is faster than the 528i.
If one treats the road like Sepang F1 Circuit every single day, every single time then this Preve isn't the car for you. You should just get a Caterham or KTM Xbow or something like that. Those cars are good indicators on how your destroyed face will looks like before you hit a tree. |

Anyway, instead of paying RM300++ for a reverse cam, I'd recommend that you spend the money on a in-car camera, those that point to the front of the car and records while you drive. QUOTE(maverickng @ May 14 2012, 12:03 PM) my family member all dunno to drive cvt ...say very heavy to move from standhill...all floor the pedal and rev rpm high high..hiazz...i think the car havent reach my hand already condemn liao wow.... good la. sudah hard break in for you. QUOTE(G K Lai @ May 14 2012, 02:41 PM) Can tell what is the purpose of front facing camera? so that can record something like this; Can record the footage as evidence once having an accident? Please tell me more... or any other circumstances which can be used as an evidence in court. It even has voice recorder so if wanna kantoikan those traffic police or JPJ officers, very easy only. hahaha QUOTE(yumeno @ May 14 2012, 02:41 PM) Hi guys, just pay RM 500 for the premium booking , need to wait for at least 1 month to get the car. I have few question here: 1. most of them say rebate 1k, but when you go visit them they will tell you it the other car that has the 1k discount. Common tactic to lure you into their showroom. I also can say I am offering 2k discount, but the fact is the 2k discount is for the Inspira. 1. did proton give rebate for preve premium, coz saw same ad in mudah got rebate for 1k. 2. anyone of u tender for www no. plate? how much will it be? 3. what is the head unit brand been using in preve premium? and how many watts for the output? Feel excited when giving the deposit, and happy to see lots of supporter here ! cheers !!! Added on May 14, 2012, 2:48 pmThose who wanna add windscreen premium, better do it before receiving the car because after the car rolls out of the showroom for a month, it would be a very tedious process to apply for one. QUOTE(earthdome @ May 14 2012, 11:23 PM) the car is so cheap in aussie =.= please, compare the grocery and food prices there with here before make such conclusion. and fresh grad nett salary is around 4k aud. save a year can buy cash already. malaysia boleh! third world salary, first world living cost A car or any form of payment for car isn't considered as "living cost". Its more like a "need" rather than necessities. Without food, you wont be able to survive. Without car, I doubt you will die. Added on May 14, 2012, 11:32 pmand BTW, lets not bore the thread with this "evergreen topic" of taxes, AFTA etc shit. This post has been edited by V12Kompressor: May 14 2012, 11:32 PM |

I guess most of you who complaining about the "low rpm torque" issue is due to not getting used to CVT yet.
