As planned, wife & i went to confirm 408 just now but saleslady revealed those prices to my wife and also claim 2.0 for comfort with soft suspension & lighter steering wheel. And since i am buying the car for her, we end up with 408 2.0

Not yet la bro. Just paid deposit last Friday. This wed gonna bring my check book & those required docs. Raya holiday also busy strategising my way to convince wife for the T  still got 2 days to go to change to T or stick with NA.

Btw, any recommendation for the tinting? They are giving discount voucher for the tint but dunno what brand. I need to tint mine as well my sis' 308thp

I know what you mean, everybody who step into Peugeot 408 and test drive does have this feeling. Its called PAD (Peugeot Addiction Disorder). The only cure is buy a unit for yourself. Drive 3 times per day.

How so far?..The fuel and ride...wife like it? hehehe

Anyone could verify with Peugeot about the warranty? And this oem comes with gps and reverse camera?
Btw, I always worry the car behind me kiss my butt everytime I look into rear view mirror as 408 butt is very high. Anybody experience the same syndrome?

Do you experience the 'too more ketat' thing while driving or while the engine turned off? If you experience it while driving, I suggest you get it checked.
I've heard that 3M doesn't come with tint+security film. You have to put another layer of security film after the tint film. Is it true?
I've 'PM'ed on Peugeot's facebook with regards to rattling sound and they give me this email to lodge complain to ; clic@naza.com.my.

Please do share your observation with us. I also noticed that my 408 rear bumper is 'hanging' on the left, meaning that I could lift the bumper up and there're still room for it to move upwards around 3mm before it touches the rear brake light.

Our 408s are manufactured in China plant and assembled at Gurun. The China models have GPS. Therefore I believe no electrical mods are necessary. Most after market GPS units are plug and play. Get tech details with installation details for the unit. With these details sent to Peugeot,they can verify warranty validity.

Guys correct me, Sierraglow is purely to retain that factory paintwork shine? It does not protect the paintwork from scratch!
Do they provide any guarantee and how long the shine retention?

hey guys wanted to ask, i recently scraped a wall and there are scratches along the side of my car. any idea if peugeot service centre will repaint it? if yes, is it more expensive than if i send it to some car workshop?

Tks for the info bro. I will try PERMANON as my car is always in the shade,office or home. To run around or the market,we take my wife's Myvi,find it much easier to chuck around and especially park at supermarkets.Is it essential to PERMOMON  right away!

408 is quite deceiving in size. Didn't think it was that big or that long untill I was parking at Giant.

I would agree here. I've done touch ups on my other cars form paint shops. Some of these paint shop guys are very good. Hardly any difference in tone and very reasonable price.

It will be much easier to deal with the paint shops than with franchise holders,if there was dispute. For this reason I'd keep away from Franchise for paint work touch ups.

Unbiased review. This model was designed for the China market,hence a lowered standard. Certainly finess is missing in many areas. I like the writer have owned several contis, so many areas were alarmimg for me too. Would certainly like to see an update on the TCU from Peugeot to solve the adaptive gearbox issue. While it works silky smooth,FC could be better!  Peugeot has to initiate this from Aisin ( gearbox manufacturer ).

I hope NASA has the will or  capacity to understand the issue at hand! This actually is an opportunity for NASA to better public opinion! I hope they take advantage and not exhibit 3rd world mentality!

3)Non adaptive nature of the 6 speed gearbox whih only changes gears at predetermined speeds not according to load making a Euro Star 5 emission engine very thirsty , I am comparing to my 12 year old CLK 230 supercharged Mercedes 5 speed auto which changes gears according to load and gives better fuel economy than this 408 despite weighing 300 Kg more.... I say non adaptive because the 1st gear changes to 2nd always at the same speed which is when the central locking locks the car// The gear change doesnt take advantage of the low end torque at all and if you choose sport mode its even more ridiculous, I will complain about this during my first service. All other gears change at predetermined speeds also, the most annoying is waiting for the gear to change to 4th which occurs at a ridiculous 2600 rpm when engine is warm, really annoying, usually end up swithing to tiptronic and changing manually

As for point no. 3, I didn't give much observation on at what rpm the low gear shift take place on my 4 speed 408 but if I'm on light footed mode, the gear change seems to occurs at lower rpm, not like when I rammed the pedal. The only thing I notice is it will be quite 'jerky' when gears are shift at lower gear when I'm in light footed mode. Is it because the adaptive gearbox has adapted my aggressive way of driving?

Anybody can elaborate more on 'BUMP STEER' as pointed out in point 5 of the thread?

btw, read some post from other forum that the 308 owner claim the air cond isn't cool enough.

is that true or the air cond take more time for cooling.
