New 408t alpine white owner here xD

Car is only 2 days old and already clocked 300km coz drove from kl to segamat for work this morning.

So fr tyre noise is a bit unpleasant, maybe bcoz the tyre pressure is too high.

Only prob occured was esp/asr faulty error. Happened when i was cruising normally down the highway after abt 30km, then i had to stop the car at an RnR, shut off the engine, then restart again and the error was gone. But happened again after abt the same 30-50km but i was lazy to stop the car so i just drove with the error and prolly w/o esp/asr. Can this be due to the high tyre pressure?

book my 408na (gray color) Wednesday and today my SA told me the loan has approved and the car is ready for register. now waiting me to pay the down payment.
the plate number registration need pay RM320++? cox i tot in was included in car price.

regarding the fc, may i know how u ppl read it? some of said can get 10.9L/100km, whr get this info?
i read mine at the center info display it showed 14.5L/100km, avg 22km/h, my total mileage now only 70km

total cost me around rm350. Changing the fuel filter(rm40), clean and drain(rm 90) all the fuel from fuel tank.(full tank = around Rm110), refill again full tank (rm110). wasting my time = $$. haha

If stering on straight, but car keep going left. Wst is the problem?

Only manage to nego for RM1800 for Huper 30 (side and rear) 40 (windscreen)..

Those at JB that have 'pulling to the left' issue can go to Nasim Plentong to do....when I sent my 308 there, the service man very confident how to solve it...it was actually done without any balancing or alignment (I know because there dun have tire service)....and its got nothing to do with tire pressure,

So far ok with my note2.

In the beginning it worked well.
Then I turned of the media streaming option on my phone and it stopped working completely.

After that I completely removed the phone from the 408 memory and added it again.
Since then working flawlessly again.

So in short, you can try to remove and add your phone.

PUG408T tyre pressure stated as 2.5 bar at the door should be 250kpa..

I also have issue with bluetooth connect previously, which have to reconnect everytime enter the car, what i did is for PUG HU to detect the phone bluetooth, once my phone trigger to accept, my phone will pop up msg as whether to auto connect, select YES and until now it will detect and connect my hp bluetooth....

i also have issue, having like bunyi tikus like spring chit chit sound, then realise i can simulate the sound when i close my rear bonnet...somehow this sound will on and off can be hear, anyone have same issue....

after 8***km mileage driving the car, now really appreciate the car....

Contemplating to buy Peugeot 408 Turbo. At the moment still considering the Hire Purchase interest rates. Can all owners or future potential owners share share the interest rates approve, bank and if ok % of deposit (10,20,30)?

The last round I got from Affin Bank (bef announcement of Bajet 2013), was 2.35%. Anyone got lower?

Thanks jfcheong and skyjack. Wow summons! The road will be more dangerous, now. It is this pug408 vs ford focus. Too bad Ford Focus didn't come with ecoboost, else my choice will be it. Yeh test drove pug at Bangsar branch and went on mahameru on a public holiday (long weekend). SA allowed me to flat it, it was exhilirating. The power kept on coming at the will.of.my foot and cabin space is impressively the signature of a peugeot + 6 airbags, for that price..unbelievable. the drawback.is service maintenance which I read will be 3.6 to 4k per year whereas Ford offers Parts &Labor free maint.

Current Pug specifically 408, how's ur maint total so far?

I'm looking into Peugeot 408T but afraid the fuel consumption is high beside the high maintenance cost....
Anyone can provide the actual fuel consumption of 408T???

You can actually 'force' it to adapt to your driving style!
Its called 'Gearbox Reset' whatever..

It works on many peugeot...not sure the 408....on my 308 works like a charm.

I hope some 408 owners can try it out...
1. Go back home....off the engine
2. Wait for ALL the lights to dim down completely....most of the time, it will be the center dashboard display that will dim the last.
3. After all the interior lights are completely off...quickly press the accelerator fully down for 15secs.

Next day, drive the car aggressively...you will notice the gearbox is more 'flexible'

Not sure it will work on the 408T because I heard it changes gears at a pre-set speed.

I just got my 408 2.0 a few weeks back. Current mileage is around 1.5K. As the 2.0 version does not have a dedicated FC counter (seriously wtf Peugeot), my calculation is based on using manual calculation. Each fuel top up is exactly 52L using Shell Ron95 from the exact same station.

First tank:  52L
Total Distance : 385km
FC: 13.5L / 100km

Second Tank: 52L
Total Distance: 390km
FC: 13.33L / 100km

Third Tank: 52L
Total Distance: 400km
FC: 13L / 100km

This calculation is based on 100% City driving, with smooth driving (max out at 80-100kmh), totally no traffic jam (as my working hours is abit weird), and is for a round trip from my home to the office and back. Thats it.

I'm curious, isn't the FC abit HIGH for a C segment car? Or is there something wrong with my car? I'm from JB btw, so would totally appreciate it if any bros with the 408 2.0 can share their FC as a reference. One more question btw, anyone top up for the Insurance windscreen coverage ? My SA told me I would need to top up around RM 600+ as the windscreen cost RM 4K! I'm just curious as I only needed to top up like RM 300 for my 20010 Camry!
