pug 408t owner, please advice.

I just got my lion, mileage 650+, but the radiator water seem drop to the low level bout 8 days time.

Do you all need to fill up the radiator water frequently?

Remember to post it here if u do change the rims. I m more inclined to add bodykit spoiler and make smoked lamp. But couldn't get any yet.....already 3rd months since collecting car in July. Frown.....

to those who are running 408T turbo engine, may i know what fuel r u using normally, ron95 or ron97?

not total waste my dear. I can feel the difference in terms of power delivery and engine smoothness. Just that wallet says otherwise.

yes, no doubt the car can use ron95 but for optimum performance ron97 is recommended. i'm pretty sure there's difference in between.

Well as the turbo builds up more boost at higher speed, naturally the compression will increase as well so you would need higher RON rating fuel for optimal performance in the higher range. The effect isnt really the night and day type of difference, more like one or two tenth's? Since most road users are not F1 drivers chasing tenths of seconds, I'd say most people wont bother/notice the difference. But still the difference is there.

About cost/performance ratio, considering most ppl drive moderately with revs ranging from 2k to 3k, there isnt much real world benefit in daily drives in using RON97 over RON95. Better to save up some bucks, since the difference between 95 and 97 is now RM1.10

All NA owners on the list -have you booked your 1st service already, mind sharing the experience?

My French Guy neigbour owned a 308 and told me Peugeot car is great, service so-so, but kept on saying peugeot's a good car. He told me glenmarie Blue box is the worstn service, the rest is ok. he now gets service done in PJ.

Being a week old NA owner...my number one complaint is the rough gear shift when you are slow...wonder if this common...seemed to be the same conclusion every one has. And no sync with my iphone but that's OK as I still observed the driving etiquete of "no phone-talk while driving"...

Bought my Lion from 4S @Jln Chan sow Lin and most likely will send it back there for service, where did you send yours?

Hi guys, I just booked a 408T last friday, now waiting for financing application/offers. Only offer I got at the moment is 2.44% from Maybank with 9years tenure. From my calculations a 0.1% difference in interest rate for 108mths will amount to about 1k difference, should I just go for the 2.44% maybank or wait a bit more for other banks to offer? Thanks

And she has even given a guy the GTFO.......superb.... hehehe! But this fellow so dum la,still poking his nose in our backsides!

Possible,you can also add brake  pedal auto lock. As soon as you hit the brakes the doors lock automatically. The only problem here is it will affect the 5 year warranty.

Actually, I think it's OK to have criticisms mah. It's good to have multiple viewpoints which will broaden our perspective. We're all adults here. We can take dissenting views and accept them.

At the moment, the doors do lock automatically after starting to drive off. That's adequate for me already.

I don't know the brand, car accessory shops have it.

Your doors lock automatically aah! That means I have a defect on mine,my doors don't lock automatically!

Wow damage is rm2.6 k  initial assessment by balakong actually cheras jaya centre. Got to wait for parts n leave car for 4 days... But need to get  parts arrival first.  Workmanship n spraying alone cost RM950.00!  If opt to replace the whole front bumper will cost 4k++ (just parts alone)

Oh dear Termibait, I'm not the one who look for start stop button la. I rather spend on exterior than that. 

It is parts that is costly- I have to get 3 parts replaced. The biggest piece is bout half a grand. Doing it outside will not save much cause u still needs the parts. N unlike common brands. .. Sum more in the case of 408...There ain't no potong parts or compatible parts...not yet anyway

Now I have phobia of thinking will my car breakdown halfway.....aiyoooo...buying this car should make me worry less and happy more...

All of us who buy continentals (regardless of whatever marque) will surely think the same way. 5 year warranty is good, what's there not to like? Anything go wrong within the warranty period, just claim warranty only, no worries there!

But when breakdown occurs then:

1. Hope you're not stuck on some ulu place in the middle of the night with either your parents or a screaming baby
2. How long will it take for help to arrive?
3. Can repairs be carried out in a reasonable time frame? Reasonable time frame to you and to the manufacturer are usually very differing numbers
4. Will they offer a courtesy car?
5. Is there a provision to claim loss of use?

At the end of the day, there are many things that they don't specifically state in the warranty terms so it's still good to have a toll truck number kept in your hand phone just as a precautionary measure. Since there aren't any lemon laws here in Malaysia (unlike Singapore), consumers usually have to suck it up when something bad happens.

So yeah, 5 year warranty is good, but I would surely rather go by these 5 years without needing to even claim warranty just to avoid the hassle in the first place.
