Ap easy complete recommended to change ever 6 months as labelled on the cartridge.

[attachmentid=10129708]

U change both filters yearly? most ppl dont change AP902 yearly, hence water is getting dirtier and AP EASY getting clogged faster.

If u r not staying in a condo, i suggest u change AP902 to an outdoor filter with backwash, also change AP EASY if u wanna save on maintenance cost.

AP902 replacement is RM 600
AP EASY REPLACEMENT is RM 300

cost per year is RM 600 + (RM 300 x2) = RM 1200, isnt that too costly?

ie :

Get A sand filter + Aquaphor eco indoor filter = RM 2299 + Free replacement x 1 set

First year : RM 2299 (Before trade in Promo)
Second year : FREE
Third Year : RM 420
Forth year : RM 420
Fifth Year : RM 420 + RM 380 (sand replacement)
Total RM 3939 for 5 years

If continue with your current filter is RM 1200 x 5 = RM 6000 almost 50% saving. Save more with trade in promo

Sand Vs AP902
Filtration wise AP902 is better and quite consistent if u change it every year but sand can backwash hence you dont need to change every year.
If u wan better filtration get MEMBRANE FILTER, they are the cleanest but not recommended if ur incoming pressure is weak. Recommended 2bar to 2.5bar is sufficient which most housing area do have.

AP Easy Vs Aquaphor
AP easy consist of a small carbon block with filtration of 0.5 micron, hence recommend to change 6 months compared to other 3M model (1 year). Aquaphor consist of 3 cartridges (2 bigger size carbon block + 1 hallow fibre memrane) with filtration 0.1 micron. So changing it = an upgrade in water quality and reduction in maintenance cost

If u are staying in a condo, unable to install those big filters with backwash, then add this (as per video for RM 150) before your AP902 to pro-long the lifespan and change AP EASY to upgrade the filtration and lower maintenance cost.

any review on this? rm2399 for first purchase, second filter got rm800 discount (if u have somebody share with u to buy a unit for themself too, then u both can split rm400 discount each). it was claimed to have 3 kinds of sands. regular back-wash (once a week for 3-5 minutes each back-wash) can last for 20 years without changing the sands.

You can ask zheilwane as he sells them. The link I gave refers to the thread where Perfect Steel is discussed.

Anyone here changed the sand of their outdoor water filter before?

Might plan to change mine as it costed me 1.8k 10 years back lol. Don't feel like changing the whole system as the stainless steel is still working fine.

Was quoted 500 bucks to change the whole sand filter.

Project replace old diamond water filter 10micron to membrane 0.01micron

output rate : 3500L/h
filtration type : External pressure filtration
working pressure : 0.1-0.4MPA

TDS reading before after
before filter : 84+/-
after filter : 84+/-
boiling water 88+/-

free residual chlorine
test with diamond : positive
test with membrane : negative
test with water tank after 2 day : positive

the water pressure not much different after changing

1.other than add water pump ,any idea to improve the water pressure?
2.chlorine test negative after new filter , any idea ? most of the membrane reduce chlorine?
3.treated water with low FRC enters the water tank ,this can promote the growth of bacteria in the water, leading to skin irritation?

I got a water softener installed in my house 2 years back and ever since I haven't found any issue with my water. The washing machine's performance has also improved.

Would recommend the Big Blue type of cartridge filter. It's universally accepted cartridge replacement for the 4.5" dia pleated.
If you are lazy type of person, it's not recommended.
For Rm2.5K can have POE together with POU filter for the whole house with extra cartridge replacement.

Agreed, exactly the setup which I went for. Just it need to be manually washed weekly to maintain its effectiveness.

Hello all. I'm looking for outdoor water filter. I don't need fancy features like ultra filtration that basically sterile my water supply laugh.gif
I just need something to clear up sediments because I'm not waiting for water supply company to fix this problem from their end which god knows when that would that happen.
I'm happy as long as my water is clear and not yellowish that I won't hesitate to do laundry and showering (got indoor filters for drinking and cooking purpose already).

Now, I scroll shopee for a while and came upon these two which I think affordable. The smaller one much more affordable laugh.gif

Which would you guys recommend? Thank you. Budget RM300 sad.gif
