3) Juru SC (Penang) - Can bring own lube.

4) Trend point - Along Jalan Tun Razak. (Still under review, first review was bad, but a warranty claim experience after that shows that they're quite efficient and able to detect problems that even CoSE denies.)

QUOTE(stormaker @ May 7 2012, 08:45 PM)
I got 1 stupid question to ask ... anybody know how to turn off the Pioneer double din player ? There's is no power button on the unit, the technician teach me to turn off the source using the "Off" button on the screen which bring me to demo mode / screen, then press "Mode" button to turn off screen. But it actually still on, just lcd off. When i stop engine n start again, it will turn off itself to initial demo screen.  icon_question.gif
*
Most players nowadays dont have a power button to switch off. You just press and hold the SRC or Source button until it switches off or on. That's the common way for aftermarket players.

QUOTE(stormaker @ May 8 2012, 12:41 AM)
U're right ... I think this is the way to turn it off. Off the source then hold the "Mode" button. But I think i got the faulty unit bcos by doing that, it show me white blank screen, need to switch ignition to off then on again to get back the screen. Can it be cause by the wiring ?
After few minutes play with it just now, manage to disable the demo, but that's not shutting down. Trying to upload to the video recorded just now to youtube.
*
Does ur unit comes with GPS? If yes, it may be showing the GPS system instead.

sweat.gif Dont go believe all that lah. Plucking hair is all about urself.

QUOTE(stormaker @ May 8 2012, 01:07 AM)
can it be wiring problem ? Just installed now need to claim warranty ...  cry.gif

Here's the video ... skip to 1:10 (bottom right is "Mode" button). Anyway, after hold the mode button n if its power off, press what button to power it on ? Any button ? or same holding the mode button ?

*
Holding the Mode or SRC button in any situation will switch it off. The white screen that was displayed could mean a firmware issue with the player that can only be fixed by totally cutting power supply to the HU, and then reconnecting again (reset). I suggest you go back to the accessory shop that you bought it from and ask them to test the same thing you did with a similar model. If the same thing happened, check the firmware version. If the white screen doesn't show on the other unit, it's a problem with your unit.

QUOTE(ZenGTMM @ May 8 2012, 01:48 AM)
lol.. I saw zapdos quoting it on the thread mah..

Dei. I checked the link to see if it's working lah before creating the thread.. Apadah...

QUOTE(zapdos9 @ May 8 2012, 02:03 AM)
I think this unit cannot power off the display at all.
For the mode, using mode also can access to the navigation screen.
Saw u made it closed just now  laugh.gif

Firmware issue can be fixed just by disconnect n reconnect ? Any idea how to check the firmware version ? Need to prepare my so b4 go there.
*
What I meant was, when the screen went white, the only thing you can do to fix the situation is to turn the keys, correct? When you turn the key to off, it disconnects power to the HU. But when you turn the key to ACC, the power reconnects again, then the white screen prob miraculously solved itself. Firmware you can check on the HU box, or under the Settings tab. I know for my Kenwood dual din, the firmware can be checked through that.
