really proves that the car can do 40mpg as advertise in US.
my current 1.5 Accent the best i do only 6L/100KM and that is cruising NSE. sweat.gif

That is 1.6 figure, still don't know about 1.8 yet... 40MPG is rated for 1.8.

Just watched in youtube someone is doing about 5l/100km which is 47MPG ! ohmy.gif Maybe need sometime to run in the engine. Elantra 2011 Fuel Economy

I need to re-quote also .. their 40mpg is based on highway and town drive only 29MPG which is still very good.

My 97 wira auto can do 18-20mpg for 100% city driving only.......

US never get GDI... They don't even have 1.6, only 1.8nu MPI. Please refer to Hyundai USA Elantra Spec. Correct me if I am wrong.

guys, we dun use MPG (miles per Gallon)
we use KM/L (kilometer per liter)

may confuse some forum readers...

Yea you are right, we use to km/l or l/100km laugh.gif


40 mpg = 5.88 l/100km = 17.01km/l

Any owner can provide your fuel consumption reading? Full tank = km? Or how many km/per liter? Reading from over sea website over sea car will not Be accurate. They always have good fuel consumption in any cars.

The best way to get a accurate answer
Is from Malaysia owner itself.
