well..CMC5 is supposedly for quiet and comfy, so not sure what other tyres will be quieter.. anyway, how much do you think you can get back from trading in the CMC5??
*
Not sure bro..when the tyre shop saying that CMC5 cost around RM300, i felt he was trying to con me already.

I said thank you and walked away. Didn't ask how much can trade in.

the standard CMC5 is a comfy and quiet tyre with good grip level... quite favourable compare to Michelin XM2 and PS3, Yoko C Drive 2... it shdnt make much difference even after u changed... so might as well keep it... remember if u trade in, u will lose quite a lot... remember all these tyre are almost same price range...

GY Asy 2 are hi performance tyres... guarantee even more noisier... Advan DB is suppose to quiet tyre, but its hi performance category also... so its quiet among hi performance category... but could not be more quiet than comfort category...

if tyre noise is a concern, u can always add soundproofing... its easier to add the soundproofing compare to wind noise or engine noise...
and if u cannot tahan the noise now when tyre is new, better add soundproofing... as tyres wear and tear will increase the noise significantly...

No wonder ppl comment elantra floating la, steering not responsive la. Bcoz they upgraded from potong.
My bro drives a waja. It is undeniable very good control- lotus handling maaa. But floating wise, sure la coz potong cars damn heavy, never float.

Since I am comparing with altis, no wonder I say elantra steering is heavier, and I don't feel the float. Coz they weight nearly the same.

We are not comparing apple to apple. Really subjective. Haha!

yes personal experience is really subjective. I, myself; having driven a Wira 1.5 gl for the past 8 years; found the elantra's steering a tad too light during low speeds. 1 handed parking will be a breeze.. tongue.gif having said that, i've also driven my mum's 12 year old Toyota Corolla SEG 1.6 and i found that whenever i go above 130, the steering is as light as feather, can hold it with 1 finger.. its a ball shrinking experience.. sweat.gif I'm not sure if my SA claims (whereby the steering will gradually become heavier as the speed increase) for the elantra steering is true. I couldnt reach cruising speeds during my test drive. Maybe you can enlighten me on that. btw.. your hyper silver looks great. i'm targetting this color as well. I want to see it in metal before making the final decision smile.gif

tongue.gif the Electric power steering is a really light at low speeds.. and in fact there's a couple of times when i took at corner from a junction, accidentally twisted too quickly because still not used to the strength needed.. ended up passengers complaining i want to drift is it sweat.gif
