This is the link for a supplier for this fender treatment which Hii mentioned
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2124324/all

I had asked my kelik, his solution is using a fireproof insulation with self adhesive and it cost around rm100 only.
Labour? no need cause he said DIY can do already. shocking.gif

As for the fender treatment, my kelik said too expensive, RM400 as mentioned by the supplier on top. sweat.gif

I need to go over and check out his ride and take some pic hmm.gif will update

Just called SD customer care to check my Q no and it seems that my general Q no has advance 164 numbers in 9 days. He also told me that i recently call them on the 22nd and i the Q status won't seems much improvement. I was shocked he recorded when my last call to him. sweat.gif  It seems that SD produce around 550 units per month, so slow sad.gif Now total outstanding order is around 2.5k to be deliver. It seems that they received around 600 new order in 2 weeks since middle of May.  brows.gif

I also asked him the status of outstanding issue and he said that there will be an announcement of the 2 pending issues (Tail light and Tweeter) that we enquired on next week and official memo will be issued to all sales branch. We can also check back with him next week. rclxms.gif He asked me to just look for him because he will handle all Elantra issues and inquiry.  nod.gif
*
Thanks for the update bro .. so need to tell them ur chassis number to check ur Q or js name? biggrin.gif

This is the truth because of the exist of Proton, we have to buy cars with higher sales tax and duty. mad.gif Without them, we can have BMW at Camry price and Elantra MD at Preve price. icon_question.gif

The Japanese is not there stupid to sell technology to Malaysia. All they want is to trick Malaysia to help them to clear their backyard.  whistling.gif Figure out why the Mitsubishi 9th Generation Lancer can be easily become our Inspira. We hardly see Mitsubishi car since many years after they are facing lawsuit for their car safety issue. They though they can enter back the market again but failed, so they decided to be old school and used Proton again to cover their lost. shocking.gif

What to do, we are in Bolehland blush.gif

Added on May 31, 2012, 12:31 pm

Just provide your full name, Spec, color and which sales branch you book from. Then they either will put you on hold for awhile for the Q no or return call to you if your call is pickup by other customer service rather than they guy whose in-charge of Elantra issues.

You got your chasis number already? shocking.gif

I think I have. SA said its waiting to be deported out. So not sure still need to check or not.

went back there to ask him how to remove tar marks.. ended up he gave me a FREE car wash+vacuum+sierrabead+remove tar marks
i recalled someone posted on the fb page before.. like 2 weeks back about this denso type. i may be wrong, and the platinum is the surrounding tip around the iridum, and the rest are of course the usual ceramic + steel.
doh.gif didnt break his head on the mirror and say "yea it looks great-er now"  shakehead.gif
*
Yes, i just confirmed with my kelik it's not platinum cause the one u bought is Iridium Power and not Tough (which is with Platinum ground).
My kelik asked his spark plug supplier and he mentioned that Iridium Power is actually an economical type which only last for 30K or so and it will wear off.
You can check out the diff here http://www.globaldenso.com/en/products/aft...tough/qa_5.html
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

So it is not recommended since its not much diff with normal spark plug.
He recommended NGK's Laser Iridium (which is equivalent with Denso's Iridium Tough) P/N: ILZKR7B11

Our stock NGK is having a heat range of 6, gap is 1.0mm which is very less to choose from the market.
The one recommended NGK Laser Iridium's heat range is 7 meaning running colder and the gap is 1.1mm with higher ignition energy and bigger spark.
My kelik can get the Laser Iridium for RM250/set.

Just sharing la biggrin.gif

Ask you guys something.

So now after 1k service, the next service is at 6k+. If I do fully syn, means the next one will be at 16k, and so on.. etc etc..
The oil change probably won't hit the mark at 40k when the spark plugs and other major services happen, do I need to go back to the service center at 40k to change the plugs, then probably back again at 45k to change oil?
*
IMO, i will change the spark plug like JusJus did outside smile.gif

I am worry about my mileage as now is 700km but due to this weekend gona drive to KL, it would exceed 1k, and needed to be service.

What would happen if i did my 1k service late with my mileage clock in around 1.3k-1.5k.. any harm to my engine?

ehehe.. hopefully it will be positive la.. actually i'm about 90% there already.. but recently saw the 408 at the 1U roadshow.. those car chicks aside (imho, this batch is one of the better ones in terms of looks and outfit.. push up to the max biggrin.gif), and in terms of a family car, i think the 408 is a better fit. Its really spacious and comfortable especially width wise.. but i dont understand why conti cars dont want to provide features such as Start button and keyless entry.. grrrr.. so i'm still leaning towards the elantra.. but the mrs wants a bigger car..  doh.gif
*
i haven't really see the car in person yet but maybe will give it a look this weekend. but i still prefer 308 to 408 design la (IMO) biggrin.gif

yeah.. the 408 is very plain.. both inside and outside. plus points i would say is that very comfortable and spacious + powderful engine (1.6thp) and handling. but its looks very boring la.. biggrin.gif

yeah man.. i kid you not. when i was at their facebook counter, this one girl bent down to play with my 2year old son.. and lo and behold, the whole valley in full view for my viewing pleasure.. rolleyes.gif  BUT my home minister was also there  sweat.gif , so my eyes were glued to the iPAD doh.gif  biggrin.gif
*
Ya, mmg powerful engine since the 1.6thp is the same engine with 308t. So I think if wanna buy better get the 1.6t rather than the 2.0 which I think power is not comparable.

I got no kids ler. Can rent ur kids for few hours mou bro? Haha!!

our steven taiko went to test drive today for Lion408.. let's see what he has to say  tongue.gif
*
don't called me taiko la, ma chai only ler brows.gif

test drove Mazda CX-5 first. they don't have the 4wd js the awd so hentam also la .. damn geng~ powerful like hell~!
but this is not the main topic back to Peugeot.
went in greeted by a sexy lady but kelik got existing SA (xien jor lo!!! cry.gif )

test drove the 408T 1.6.
Verdict with 4 big size guys and my wife in there so total 5 ppl.

Engine 1.6T similar to 308T, RCZ, 508 etc etc ... and it's a mini cooper S engine pardon me brows.gif
Initial pick up no issue, even from idle.
Floor the pedal to the metal, the revving isn't that noticeable but the car really accelerate really good.

Interior space is very good but i still feel that HE is more spacious.
normal key entry without push start - xien jor
not much compartment space which is Peugeot SOP - xien jor
but the glove compartment got air condition - cun wor
diff btw 1.6t n 2.0 is more chrome on the 1.6 (i.e steering, sport pedal, handles, knob etc), black odo looks cooler than white, and leather seats.
the rear compartment is damn large i think 520L ... shocking.gif

outlook HE wins hands down. available in 3 color.
my opinion, dun get the 2.0 as it's running on their std home engine whereas 1.6T is on bmw's design mini cooper s. u decide.

then saw 508 ... YENG dou!!!! and it's only 168K ... thumbup.gif

408 is considered C-Segment replacing 407 as u all know and 308 is coming out with their FL next month. 5.8 is D-Segment with plenty of features drool.gif

Bro, 508 replacing 407 lah coz 407 is D segment.
Btw, u gotta have a brave heart to own a car powered by prince turbo engine.
*
QUOTE(BuFung @ Jun 1 2012, 07:41 PM)
Lol... 407 indeed replace by 508... 408 is just a sedan 308....  talk about interior quality feeling, dont see any car match pigot in this kind of price range...

Added on June 1, 2012, 7:47 pmANother point there is the 1.6t engine is the one with plenty of problems.. lol
*
oh ... sorry sorry .. salah dengar sweat.gif sweat.gif
but they said that engine being used by 6 of their cars now, so mana ada problem wor~~

and Warranty is 5 yrs unlimited drool.gif
but to be fair, it's a good price if u like that exterior rolleyes.gif
