QUOTE(daijoubu @ May 31 2012, 10:13 PM) Are PBTs more lasting than doubleshots? PBT will shine, but Doubleshot shines faster. So tempted by the red alert GB, but being ABS makes me 2nd think By the way, in case nobody reads that post QUOTE You might want to find it before this closes, I just got word from Melissa that their prices are going up after this buy. **as a side note, we have been bombarded by price increases from our suppliers, which means the next round of keycaps that we supply to you will have a higher unit price. I can honor these set prices, but won't be able to in the future. Translation: This is the cheapest you will ever see a doubleshot keyset ever again! DUN DUN DUN! That means, DS will be more expensive next time round. This post has been edited by kaiserreich: May 31 2012, 10:41 PM |

QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Jun 1 2012, 02:14 AM) Haven't used one before so I cant imagine it Btw, I just ordered a Poker alu plate. Not sure whether it'll feel nice or not, but I did grow on to the slight flex of the Poker's PCB. Soften the impact of bottoming out Anyway the gf already tried Blues and as expected, she liked it more than the reds for typing, but due to the sound, she would like to give the browns a go first. Any bets here on which she would prefer in the end? Blue, Red or Brown? |

Blue, Red or Brown? you got yourself a poker? how much you paid for it? 300? the Alu plate? 100? then keycaps? 100? plus all the shipments handeling fees, total of 500 spent? 500 can go for a 2nd hand HHKB Pro2 already. That's what happen to me. |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Jun 1 2012, 09:39 AM) LoL, buy this and buy that huh? and then at the end, you will find that the price you paid are worth another grade of keyboard, Haha well you cant really compare that way because alot of the extra cost is to accessorise or modify the look and feel of the stock KB.you got yourself a poker? how much you paid for it? 300? the Alu plate? 100? then keycaps? 100? plus all the shipments handeling fees, total of 500 spent? 500 can go for a 2nd hand HHKB Pro2 already. That's what happen to me. The HHKB Pro2, while I like it (more than the Topres), would mean i will need to spend even more on top of that to get the look and feel i want I'd do just that if i weren't so poor In fact, a Filco Red would be my fav option, but to deck that out with bells and whistles, it'll cost almost RM600-700. But the Poker isnt that bad. A plus is its portability, means I get to lug it around to show off and convert other membrane keyboard users, but I still desire a solid Filco Red as my non travelling keyboard Btw, the alu plate is not the case, but the stiffening plate to mount on the KB. Cost just USD11 over at GH now. QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jun 1 2012, 09:49 AM) I don't doubt you considering the amount of mod options available on GH |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jun 1 2012, 11:55 AM) Please share. If you have pictures that would be better Keyboard Cover Sliding FIX This is how I do it: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I Drill holes on the plastic cover, and then fix 2 small piece of wood on the top side of the keyboard, to prevent it to slide down, as you can see it is very bluntly done, the screw on the pvc actually have a possible of scratch the keycap near it. and if slightly press it like moving it with the cover on it, with pressure on the cover, there is still possible of sliding off the keyboard. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « After not long, I try this one, at first I saw this in Daiso, the original design of the product is to stick it near the corner of the furnitures, to prevent children knocking their head on to the furnitures. but I cut them out into strips, and I was thinking to put it on the bottom side, to prevent the cover to slide off the keyboard. then I found that it is also possible to put them on both side of the cover..... then I remove the wooden block from the top side of the cover, and place 2 strip on 2 of the side of the cover, work like a charm! it fit nicely on the cover, and the cover are not sliding anywhere anymore, and the softness of it fix the warping problem of the cover. Now even when holding the keyboard with the cover, the cover never sliding to anywhere anymore, and no worry about the screw scratching the keyboard at all. attached pictures, hope that help, just ignore the holes on the cover.
