QUOTE(noobandroid @ Jun 27 2012, 11:51 PM) I can change the CapsLock to the Ctrl key position,so the Ctrl with the LED is now CapsLock..... and the CapsLock with no LED is the Ctrl now. ..... that's what I m saying. they provided in the package with 2 Ctrl(s) with no hole, in the ctrl size. and a Ctrl with LED hole, in Ctrl size, and 1 CapsLock with LED hole, and 1 CapsLock without LED Hole....... they should have a Ctrl in CapsLock size without hole, and 2 Ctrl(s) without LED hole. and a CapsLock in Ctrl size with a LED hole. not sure what to make of this..... Added on June 28, 2012, 12:02 am QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Jun 27 2012, 11:55 PM) that's the problem, the Ctrl should be Lettered as CapsLock This post has been edited by kaysa: Jun 28 2012, 12:02 AM |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Jun 27 2012, 11:49 PM) Kinda out of the blue, I decide to change the keycaps to Orange today. the last picture juz exactly looks like Filco TKL yellow keycaps edition [attachmentid=2916981] [attachmentid=2916982] [attachmentid=2916984] The Topre switch's Plunger are in Purple color...... wonder how other Topre look like..... plunger for my HHKB Pro2 is Black. with the orange keys on, it doesn't look like a 10th anniversary edition anymore I m still not very satisfied with the Ctrl and CapsLock key arrangement... I m quite used to the HHKB layout for the Ctrl key, so I switch the CapsLock to the left bottom corner, and the Ctrl to the left side of the middle row.... but the key they provided is not a CapsLock in Ctrl Size, But just a Ctrl with a LED hole on the key...... and the Ctrl on the lefet side of middle row, that is not a Ctrl in CapsLock size..... but just a CapsLock with no LED hole.... ..... What are they thinking. |

QUOTE(dragorc @ Jun 28 2012, 12:57 AM) and the LED is in the keys, the LED in Filco is on below the Printscreen Pause ScrollLock cluster. The LED light is red for this one, and the LED for Filco is Yellow. Filco TKL doesn't have the NumLcok. And the biggest different is that there is a REALFORCE logo at top left |

Ya, I did use the dip switch to change the position of the CapsLock to the control position,Because a lot of ppl complaining why do a Caps Lock getting such a strategic spot on a keyboard while it basically only being placed once in a while. but the key they provided is a extra Ctrl with LED hole. and a extra CapsLock without a LED hole. Not a Capslock with LED hole but Ctrl size. nor a Ctrl without a LED hole in CapsLock size. |

QUOTE(dragorc @ Jun 28 2012, 04:07 PM) i'm also wondering, and if both have tkl, which one is marginally better? i do notice filco's army camouflage quite attractive, being it kinda look like a military kbin an overclock thread, someone mentioned this and needs someone to verify it: QUOTE The difference everyone will tell you is that the costar stabilizers make a big difference, and while they do the biggest difference imo is the keycaps. The leopold has engraved keys with white infill which wears out pretty damn fast, but the filco uses pad printing that is much more durable. Built quality wise theyre both very nice boards. So what I so confuse is tat y same model like 87U can have different price? doesnt its actually use the same topre switch..or the price is distinguish by the mean of uniform weight and variable weight? oso HHKB pro 2 's' indeed so much expensive haha...curious what kind of tech it has..in an overclock thread, someone mentioned this and needs someone to verify it: |

I personally think FILCO has slightly better QC.Btw, leopold with mx red, seems very attractive and a very reasonable price. |

Realforce has many different type, like "silent" edition, variable weight force, uniform weight force, EK special edition, White edition, white gray edition, black edition and all. all have different LED color, key color or board color, but the basic Switch are the same. but the silent are new technique, plus some of them the weight force are different. |
