If I already have CDL D Class license and after getting a B-Full, AKA "tambah kelas", will the B-full license be 'P' license and require 'P' sticker while riding? I see most big bikes riding on the normal car lanes instead of designated motor lanes, is it right for them to do so? I mean legally, according to Malaysian law? Besides, most big bikes are speeding like nobody's business on the highway as well as beating the traffic lights occasionally (I knew exceeding the max speed limit of 110km/h is definitely wrong in this case tongue.gif), do they always get away from speed traps/summons/compounds?
*
Motorcycles above 250cc are not allowed on motorcycle lanes.

But nobody seems to know the exact law, so you might still get stopped by some enforcers.

I have personally tried the Monster and its easy to handle hence they term is a good beginners bike. I am aiming to get one soon as well. which bank give the best loan rate for bikes now? i was told RHB with 4% is the best bet now..

was that a 795 you tested?

its assembled in Thailand. Its actually a 796 engine on a 696 chassis. Lower seat pitch and higher handle bar compared to 796. But narrower rims and tyres for 795. Ducati says, its for Asian market.

but in the states, a 696 is priced slightly higher than ER6 but yet, you get nothing. Just a brand, Ducati. That's what a Ducati owner said. He owned er6n, zx6r before getting a 999 and 749.

some will argue with me, why Im posting that video. Its in the states, and the price are cheaper. But hey, those bikes are imported as well as we are over here. Compare the price of the er6 and 696 in the states with what we have over here in Malaysia. A Ducati will always be a Ducati. Expensive.

in one of his videos, he was quoted for 1k usd for valve adjustment job for a Ducati. Every 6k miles I think?

Tho the bike is cheap, but will you afford to maintain it?

Ive browsed mudah.my and I do see few 795 for sale. And they are only months old. I wonder what makes the owner to sell them off. rolleyes.gif

Well, everyone has their own preference. To me, the monster is a great bike and maintenance is not too much of an issue for me. I have no issues with the bike ergonomics also as I think its quite well suited for my built, just right actually.

Again, its all down to individual preference and of course time will tell for the owners decision to upgrade or not.

superbike for beginners....hmmm

get used to it 1st by ride 250cc. this should gain experience in handling the bike well. after 1 year or so, you feel hunger of speed, so upgrade to 600cc above but required b full license. make and model, the choice is yours. ask around bikers in their forums

just my opinion as sbk riders

In oversea,US and Aus mostly charge the by hour for service unlike us.
Dats why can fetch up to 1k for valve clearance bcoz those were time consuming,

For monster, service just like normal bike, change and filter only.major services at 24k interval..

Why a lot monster sold already?well most owner upgrading to more powerful streetfighter or other bike.same case happen back then with er6

heh, then u must be wearing a very well insulated helmet, which is good for noise

as for me, i have to wear helmet wih minimal padding, not even a chin cover, as i ride a street bike every day to office, and with hot weaher and heavy traffic. plus the more upright riding position

i also need to take note of other noise - horns, cars or motorbike zooming past you w/o giving any warnings, - all the usual things u need to notice in traffic

and that leaves me with very loud wind noise when i ride above 120km/h

if i go for long distance ride, earplugs is a must or i have to limit my cruise to just around 140 (threshold of noise i can take)

B2 max only 250

the the redundant B1 is 250 - 500

B has no limit.

Anyone familiar with loan rates for bikes now with banks? was given 4.5% by RHB. Need some enlightenment here...should I take a shorter period loan with higher downpayment or a longer period loan with lower d/p? by rule of thumb of course shorter period loan is better but the d/p is a bit too steep for me. any other downside for a longer period loan, let's say 7 yrs?

anything longer than 5 yrs - you can't afford that bike bro

either lower your expectation and get a cheaper bike, or save more money

might be harsh, but that's reality

finacning margin is typically 70% max, meaning you have to d/p 30%

riding a big bike is not cheap. need to consider maintenance, accidents & safety gears

I'll have to second lucifah.
You must ensure that you aren't spending until your monthly balance is cukup2 makan. Not saying you are poor or anything, I'm just saying I'd hate to see you stuck with a beautiful machine at home but cant pay for new tires.

anyway, you havent given us a full picture here, did the bank offer a cheaper rate if you pay off 5 years instead of 7? And how much of the bike are they willing to finance? 50% 70%

car is not cheap, yes, but also at lower risk

try being carelss for 1 second behind the driving wheel in a car that is stationary, and your car is still unharmed

try being careless for 1 second on a big bike, while stationeary, in your own garage - the bike became heavy to one side, you lose balance, the bike falls - damaged fairing, bent gear and brake levers, bruises and sprained ankles

that's one easy example

Thanks bros for the info..well the loan rate is 4.5% be it 5 or 7 yrs. that is the info given by the shop..5 yrs with 30% dp and 7 yrs with 20% dp. I can afford the dp and monthly commitments just that 30% dp is a bit too steep. so I just want to know what i'm up against and consider the pros and cons before making the important decision.
