Probably the best part of the beach compared to the other parts, somewhere not too crowded I guess.
*
well best is very subjective lar. haha. personally i like tanjung aru for its view and lack of crowd but the beach sucks. if you can afford can go ahead to stay the datai area. very nice beach and lack of crowd laugh.gif otherwise cenang is just fine. better than bali beach.

Planning to go langkawi next week with friends.

If i'm not mistaken, we cannot buy the duty free alcohol and leave langkawi right? Need to show proof that we stay in langkawi for X days or something.

If we leave langkawi, we're only going back to penang, not other countries.
*
can lah. but the usual rule applies. no more than 1L.

more than half a day. sky bridge is still closed. if you mean the cable car you don't really have to queue on a non-school holiday

Hello lyns,

Its been some time since i been to langkawi.
This time im bringing my parents there for 3D 2N trip.
Will be staying at Dayang Bay resorts.
What do you think of my plans here:

Day 1 :
5pm - reach langkawi airport, bargain and drive to Dayang bay resort
7pm - dinenr, walk around at kuah jetty and eagle square

Day 2 :
9am - mangrove (do i need to do bookings in advance?)
2pm - black sand and pasir tengkorak
5pm - cable car
8pm - back hotel, dinner, partial pack up, rest

Day 3 :
10am - check out, island hopping(it is at kuah jetty am i right?)
3pm - final shopping, back to airport
6pm - fly back

This is my first time bringing my parents there.
Pls let me know if these activities suit old people or are there better plans?
Advice is much appreciated! =D
*
mangrove tour don't need booking can just buy a package at kuah jetty. the island hopping may be a bit overwhelming for your parents though. prepare some sea sick meds.

wow.. i will go there on early Apr and decide to take hotel near pantai Chenang..

but now still thinking about mangrove or island hoping since i got 4 years and 1 years old kids .. haha not sure if can take such a 4 hours journey if this kids will show their tantrum later on tongue.gif

so most probably this vacation will focus on chocolate shopping smile.gif

which area is better? smile.gif
*
erm it's not a 4 hour journey straight for island hopping. they will drop you at pulau beras basah where u can chill and swim in the clear waters, then bring u to a lake, and then lastly the eagle feeding which you are just throwing food into the waters most of time. it's not really taxing apart the journey from the jetty to the island as the boat ride may be choppy.
