Hi all, I will go to Langkawi next month for 4d/3n.  Can I still buy alcohol from random shops in Langkawi and bring in with me as hand luggage to fly back to KLIA2? Is the quantity is still 1L per person?

I heard some say if I wish to buy from random shop in Langkawi, the alcohol can not be transported as hand luggage and I have to check it in.

I ask so as I heard that we need to buy alcohol from designated shops located in the airport and sea port if we wish to bring them back to Peninsula Malaysia.

Errr... judging from the way you reply, I guess it is legal to bring 1l on board to KLIA as hand luggage right? I don't intend to smuggle more than 1l we are a group of 5.

Im planning for 5 days 4 nights , next week.
Would like to know which hotel is reasonable price at cenang beach or near cenang beach.
I would like happening nights walk around beach or sit at beach bars.
Beach bath..and sea view..
Heard all the bars close at 12am not 24hours.
And cenang area traffic is very bad is tht true ?

Also thinking of staying at kuah but no idea wherre to stay as i planning near beach..
Cenang to kuah.. how far..

Renting car at airport better or contact anybody better.
Or just take uber or grab better, since traffic is bad.
Any contacts u guys have ?
Pls recommend hotels at cenang beach and kuah..

And what are the places good to vist..

If drive from kl to kuala kedah 6 hours
Kuah jetty to langkawi 2 hours.
So almost 8 hours spent on journey, whereby flight just 2hours can reach..

I checked flight can reach rm500 2ways
If I drive 8 hours , toll, fuel, ferry, parking, for 2ways how much roughly does it cost ?  Is it goes higher than flight ticket price.. apart from journey hours.
