Got one new chapfan shop open a few weeks ago in Wawasan 2 opposite DG food court - air conditioned, quite OK environment. Food and price OK. Similar to Fatt Kee and other dedicated chapfan places - lots of dishes laid out along one entire wall.

Cars going into Setia Walk just now created a massive hiccup in the traffic flow. If SP Setia don't build that flyover soon, there're going to be lots of angry people in Pusat Bandar Puchong.

Can anyone suggest a good place in Puchong for tongsooi? I can't think of a single place - perhaps Stimix can inset an entry on this on pg One - provided of course, there are good suggestions to begin with!

Thanks for the responses re tongsooi. Must have a go at the carpark near HSBC again. Haven't been there in ages. There was only one, terribly uninspiring stall back then.
RE: Setia Walk car park. I went to see the Hobbit last month and came out of the cinema past midnight (damn chionghei lah this film). Trying to get our way out of the car park was a bit hairy - the signs that said 'Exit" seemed to take us round and round and we found ourselves coming up against 'Exits' that were shut. If there was a fire or some sort of panic or if there were lots of people trying to get out at the same time, aisayman, havoc. RE: Maxis - my connection was disrupted one night, I think last week. That's all. But before this, I've had the occasional disruption in my broadband connection. |

Not always true. I know a bright young fella, went to an independent chinese school in Klang, and he's now studying Physics at the University of Hong Kong. That's essentially an orang putih institution. At independent Chinese schools, apart from the UEC exams, you have the option of also doing the SPM and STPM syllabus and sitting those exams as well.

Actually it's worse that what most of you can possibly imagine. I teach undergraduate courses and most of the kids who come to us have been so damaged by the education system, there's not very much we can do with them. They come to us with awful, in some cases practically non-existent English language skills, very poor thinking skills, very little initiative to learn and by the time they graduate, they're really not much better.

QUOTE(goodiefish @ Jan 23 2013, 04:48 PM) I got a case of severe food poisoning after eating Hasbuna restoran's food at Wawasan 2 yesterday. Holy shit, I was puking my gut out. I think their fish curry must be contaminated. I kena once before. Mild tummy upset. Blacklist liao. Clearly it's true what that Sharifah woman says. Kedai mamak pun ada masalah.I'm sure it happen to others too as a lot of people was having lunch there. I ate at the place from time to time but this is the first time it happened to me. Massive traffic jam in front of TESCO this morning and lots of vehicles trying to beat the jam by clogging up the internal roads behind TESCO, then the tailback on the westbound lanes of KESAS up to the interchange with the LDP stretched at least as far as the Sri Manja bridge. Is this normal at 930 ah?

Celaka, PJ roads totally congested just now. Not even rush hour yet. Puchong by comparison is heaven.

QUOTE(bereev @ Feb 4 2013, 05:46 PM) Actually I find Cheras and Puchong better than PJ and Subang Jaya in terms of traffic. IN the latter two places, there are traffic lights every where and half the time driving around there, I find myself waiting behind a red light. |
