****************
Posted on: May 21 2012, 08:15 PM I'm going to stop going to mamak places from now on. Here's why: I was at Mafana just now, had a serving of Briyani, a piece of chicken, and three different types of vegetables. The bill came up to RM13.80 which I thought a bit much so I queried this at the cashier and he mumbled something and beckoned the waiter over. The waiter said: "Briyani, one yegg, one chicken, one vegetable 9.50. You take 3 vegetable, one vegetable two ringgit. 15 ringgit." I said this was unacceptable or something to that effect. Then they wrote it out on a piece of paper. Plain briyani = RM5.50. Chicken RM4.50. 3 vegetable = RM6. Total = RM16. I protested that they'd now come up with three totally different bills for me to pay. So the cashier said ok ok you pay 13 ringgit. I refused to pay that amount, gave him RM12 and said that was all I was going to pay (actually I wonder now why I gave him so much, the most I've ever paid for briyani was RM11 at Hasbuna, which is far better than Mafana). Better stick to Chinese establishments from now on, and non-mamak banana-leaf joints. ********************* |

I don't know what it is that did it, but the jam has now moved away from IOI Mall back to the stretch of road after the Sunway toll. Coming back to Puchong just now at 6:30; traffic was congested both before and after the Sunway toll, but as soon as you're past the turn off to the bukit jalil road and as you drive down the viaduct to the stretch of the LDP in front of IOI mall, traffic was a breeze. The congestion before that was probably caused by all the cars trying to get into the turn off to the bukit jalil road. The express lane to Putrajaya was also very slow moving.

QUOTE(goodiefish @ Oct 8 2012, 09:24 PM) Puteri 12 no shops i think. Should be those 3 storey house. But i thought that area gated and guarded community? One defenceless guard manning the boom gate; five fellas turn up with parangs. Guard overpowers parang-wielding robbers?Anyway, there is obviously more than one way to get in and out of Puteri 12. When I went hiking recently up the famous out-of-bound hills one night, cops were waiting at the trailhead when we got out. They were waiting for robbers who'd tried to break into a house in Puteri 12 and had run off into the jungle. The cops were very scornful of the robbers. "Apalah, mau rompak pun janganlah rompak masa orang makan malam kat rumah.” |

QUOTE(goodiefish @ Oct 8 2012, 09:44 PM) If they tied up the guard and went in from guard house, understandable la. But if the guard wave back and let 5 strangers in, that one failed security la. although i have to admit there other ways in since it's bordering the jungle. On another note, how's the plan to introduce guards at Wawasan 2? I saw they start building fence along the main road.. No idea. I too have just noticed the chicken wire fence going up. Wawasan 2 is one hell of an area to fence up and guard. |

QUOTE(pgsiemkia @ Oct 10 2012, 01:54 PM) Depends on RA and who they employ. If you pay peanuts, what do you expect. Usually the recycle lorries give 1-2 ringgit to the guards, so one day can make extra income. RM300 one off per house or RM300 per month??!!!! Wawasan 2 collecting RM300 per house, good luck to them...too high maintenance, RM50 is more reasonable, as there are more houses, RA want to make quick buck or build concrete walls? At 6:30 just now, traffic was fabulously smooth after coming down the ramp to Puchong Jaya - the jam was all at the back, and yes, at the Kesas exit.

QUOTE(ozak @ Oct 11 2012, 08:04 PM) Why the kesas user don't use the taman kinrara interchange than go to jalan Puchong? ouch, the jalan puchong traffic lights at that huge interchange after the sunway toll is notorious - you get stuck behind those lights for ages. They turn green, and traffic doesn't move. They turn red again. Then green again. No movement. That side also jam pack? |
