Restore your phone, otherwise your warranty will be voided. It's easy to restore. Usually telcos are the one who replace it for you, only if you bought from them.

Hi all.. New ios user here.. Juz a question, i have a jailbroken ipad3, now wanna update to ios 6.. Can i update directly or i need to restore first then update?

iPhone can jailbreak and then unjailbreak again?
After we jailbreak the iPhone, we can access apps store or not?
How about backup for our iphone?

i really afraid, if something happen after jailbreak, and all data will lost..

but using tiny umbrella i can only save 5.1 (9b179)

and using redsnow(quert from cydia) it only say i got for 5.1 & 6.0.1

A4 devices (iPhone 4) yes, but not for A5 (iPhone 4s) and above.

There's no such thing as "unjailbreak"
To actually "unjailbreak" your iDevice, just restore to stock firmware and the jailbreak is gone.

After we jailbreak our device, we still using the Apple App Store, purchasing/downloading apps etc.
Everything is the same like non-jailbroken device.
You will not lose any data due to jailbreak in normal cases.

Just perform regular iTunes backup and your data will not lose.
Yes you can backup/sync with iTunes after jailbreak. Everything is the same.

well, i have been reading this post and others fro Google.

Still blur on whether can upgrade or not. And also, im wanted to upgrade to the latest 5.x only.

i got lots of info from other here as well. Thanks to them. But still, im feels reluctant to upgrade due to few reason;

- lost contact
- lost sms
- cant upgrade to ios5.x

my current iphone4 32gb having ios 4.1 with jailbreak. Lots of games i downloaded from the Installous and AppStore. Some even from the web and transferred using Itune.

Things like TinyUmbrella, SHSH blob, etc, keeps me worried more to upgrade. Furthermore, after reading so many different web and watching Utube, lots of ppl having issue after the upgrade. THe one i worried the most is the loosing contact list and sms'es.

i know ppl here been telling me that iTune backup DID actually backup the contact and sms.
But out there, there are few website posting saying that, they lost their sms and contact even after restore.

They only thing they confirm can be restore with issue of loosing it are the mp3s, pictures...
