Depends what you want to do.

When you change ROMs/ want to start fresh, ideally just do the user apps, not system data. When changing ROMs, can cause conflict. System data is divided into red and green. Certain green ones are fine to restore (like wifi access points passwords), the rest ideally don't restore.

But like I guess you can backup system data. And use it when you wanna restore certain things you've messed up (dono, terdelete SMS or something like that?). I rarely do it though.

I have sms back up so that is covered. I just want to maintain my game stats. upgrading from GB to ICS Miui. So I don't want system apps, but the titanium backup first options is just user apps, and it does not say data. Anyway, let's give it a try.

Why you all bothered with official ICS Malaysia ROM? As for non g, a lot of custom ROM available, you can choose which one you like. Even if Samsung release ICS ROM, you wont feel much difference because it is touch wiz ICS, Not Google Nexus ICS. You need customize ROM if you want the feel of nexus.

Touch wiz ICS
-Same icon
-same launcher
- only add small features like face unlock, etc..
-only your android version will show 4.0.3/4.0.4 instead of 2.3.6.

I still use data by subscribe manually so I don't want to disable data permanently. I would like to disable that stupid high price data rate when not subscribe but I don't think they provide this option.

Ah then do user apps only, will avoid alot of problems Esp since you upgrading upwards, don't touch system stuff.

It actually backs up data as well. They seriously need to change that description x.x

Or rather, when you run batch "Backup user app", you'll notice ontop of the list that appears, there's data,app or both as options.

Guys, Im not so familiar with IT and stuffs but Im getting pretty pissed at m phone for hanging sometimes. Im using a G version.

If I root it, will it eliminate the problem?
And will I still have my text messages after its being rooted?

Mine is non G version, I had this issue when I bought it. After rooted and flashed to custom ROM, the problem gone. 2 of my brothers and my friend have G version, they not dare to root/flash rom, they still suffer hang/auto restart problem after months. No guarantee custom room will solve hang problem, so to root or not is up to you.

thats why u should use DiGi maximum RM8 per day for data, roaming max RM36 per day, no such crap like RM80 in 1 minute imagine u whole day no off, so that would be 80x12x60= RM57,600.00

what the above poster said, but rooting the phone only will not solve your problem. i have a feeling it is related to an app that is causing the hangs, good luck finding it

the same problem happen to me too
i using the exact same app as on GB to ICS rom
but up to my surprise that it frequent hang till need to press power button
but too busy with my work no time to look into the culprit (apps) that causes this
