I've updated my GSII with ICS about 2-3 weeks ago. Now I have this prob : everytime I disconnect my phone from my PC after using USB cable to transfer files, etc, I disconnect properly, eject from PC, turned off on phone... but then it kinda lost my SD card for quite sometime... & all my music playlist, which contains music stored on the SD Card, gone blank... I haven't tried using Kies Air. But using cable this is what happened. The 1st time was even worse, it took like forever to do the media scan, then it couldn't detect my SD Card until I restart the phone... still my playlist gone also... haih...

Anybody else have this prob ? Solution ? Thx...

I think they need to revamp the whole thing from scratch to do that...read an article before,
not that simple....really need to redo the whole OS...i still don't get it why people so hung up about
"smoothness" of the UI. You don't need 60fps to press a button. I repeat YOU DON'T NEED 60FPS TO PRESS
A BUTTON TO ACTIVATE AN APP!!!!
doh.gif

Frankly, i find the iOS too smooth, makes me dizzy, like FPS games....dun rike.

not to worry, in ics, under developer option, can change the animation speed.
set the scale to 0.5x, super fast animation.

you customize the animation speed. or can even turn it off all together.
but no animation kindda plain. for me as long animation 0.5 -1 seconds is ok.

if you feel iOS dizzy, check out WP7. so sweat,
just to get into messaging app, i must see the tiles fly here and there so many times. ><

same problem, i'd recommend you use widgetsoid and put in a switch for media scanning. also pics and music i suggest you use 3rd party players

neutron player/poweramp/winamp
mxvideo player

Plan to do just that...I suspect it's the media player as well... becoz the other contents of the SD Card was normal, although it did take longer for the contents to reappear... have U tried Kies Air ? Did the same prob occur ?

One simple questions, where you get your papago? Pirated one tends to lock satellite longer.. Mine less then 10 seconds to lock to satellite. Mine is non g set

poor matrix has a G version one.
and has the impression that S2 always hang and overheat.
hard to change that thought already, first impression is important.

its samsung fault also.
samsung is very evil for releasing a G version.
Moral of the story, if wana buy S3, hurry buy on launch date, if not will have i9300G come out then sad case already.

Just ignore him, samsung hater doh.gif still thinks non g version lags even though pretty much everyone here tells him that it doesnt from their own personal experience.

Have to admit though, it takes alot of good and careful tinkering to get it smooth like what we are using now. wink.gif
