AI Aircraft is used for custom AI traffic, if you want flyable aircraft download those under ORIGINAL AIRCRAFT.

Does anyone of you use Active Camera to manipulate the views in FS2004 ?
I've been using it but my approach view always has the plane centered and the camera follows the roll.
I'm looking for the position where the camera is stationary upon approach and views the landing at an angle.
damn i can't figure it out although i've been experimenting with the approach view parameters !

As far as i know the refueling service is part of FSX and not FS2004.Anyhow the truck doesn't appear by itself but you've gotta call for it (on screen options).
For FS2004 probably you can find some airport service addons i wouldn't know..try avsim.com or fsdownloads.com

hey i just bought this game. Was wondering whehter is there a mission like i work as a pilot of any airlines that i have a schedule to follow? If not then it would be pointless to fly for hours from one airport to another airport.

And do i have to choose origin/destination in free flight or i just look at map and direction n find the airport myself?

since you're a newbie,i suggest you learn the basics on how to maneuver the aircraft first. Most of us want to jump right into details but if you take it step by step, you'll have more hold of the game and enjoy it as well. It's best to start reading the learning manuals first. And yes there are missions and flight plans to follow with different guiding systems (GPS) so you don't have to be a lifeless pilot flying from one airport to another. There's a lot to this simulator, thousands of plugins etc. Some are in forms of having passengers with you and you have an airline company where you manage your flights as well as being a pilot and follow flight plans, get rated by passengers and gotta be attentive like real pilots do. It's lot of fun,but trust me the best bet would be starting off slowly from the basics ! Anyway if you wanna give it a shot at flying a Boeing 737-300, then go to http://navinrekhraj.blogspot.com/2009/01/b...eoff-guide.html for a quick take off guide. Enjoy your flight ! thumbup.gif

oo whre to get the plugin u mention?
I've tried the basic mission untill 11 but stuck at soaring and helicopter, maybe because I'm using mouse to play.

during the free flight, i set my flight plan from KLIA to Changi but there isnt a indcator or compas like the 1 in mission showing my direction?? So i open the GPS n look at the map since i know where changi located. Is this the way u guys play free flight?

My friend, it's sad you're using a mouse to handle all this. Go get urself a joystick. A simple joystick will do the job for a beginner eg Logitech Attack 3. I started off with that one. About the addons for FS,there are numerous sites one of which is avsim.comavsim.com. But you know before you hit those sites and confuse yourself more with those crazy addons, i humbly ask you to take the flying lessons in FS, starting off with a Cessna-172 single prop in which you'll learn the basic maneuvers guided by an instructor voice.

About your flight from KLIA to Changi, what indicator are you looking for exactly ? if you've created a flight plan properly then the GPS will show you the direct route from one airport to another (purple-pink line) but if you're gonna follow that straight ahead then u might end up seeing the approaching runway parallel to your aircraft. That's where things like ILS (instrument landing system) comes in place. It also matters if your flight plans are VFR (visual flight rating) or IFR ( instrument flight rating). VFR is when you fly the aircraft based on your own judgment (low level flying). but IFR is when you are given commands by the ATC about when to turn and how high/low to fly.

so you see, there's a heap load to it. I was just as excited when i started playing but soon i knew i had to go thru the lessons and now frankly, it's all worth it ! rclxms.gif

The X axis issue is just a hype i guess because i used it for a good while and it had no problems. Perhaps incorrect driver installation and configuration causes the problem.
But anyway, any joystick will do the job and yes the lesser the buttons on the joystick the more work for keyboard.

In real life, they do not fly according to a straight line. They have rather an assigned flightplan, with waypoints and stuff. Like roads in our context.

And also they have STAR procedures to follow to bring them to their airport from the transition waypoint. The ATC and procedures in basic FS are far from what is happening in real life to be honest.

what traffic do you guys use ?

I'm torn in between Adobe and SKAI ...

I know the "grey area" these freeware packages are in .. but they really do make it so easy rather than download and customize all the AI flightplans sad.gif
