So, for those study hard student, education is always free of charged..

aiyo, those play play one, complaint here and there.. it is an embarrassment for themselves as a student..

Not no good, but grade is to differentiate outstanding students, average students and poor students.. lolx (Excuse me for being materialistic, but the world is like this)
Unless the exam is too easy, everyone can score in the exam, but that will just make the entire education system seems fail..

One more thing, everyone is different, some good in study, some are not.. You cannot expect everyone to be Engineers, Doctors, and Professionals rite? There must be always a balance in between.. icon_idea.gif

I urge those students to commit full responsibility, if they are asking for free education aka first class student..
Playing all the time, not enuf commitment put onto study and end up blame government for not giving free education.. lol..

Feel like a legend ... superhero where they can brag in the future they are the one who have proposed free educations for the Malaysian and managed to eliminated 46 billions of debt like a boss .. sleep in the tents, attend a night class where in IPT they always object any night class... during the open lectures in Dataran, they would give a frequent feedback where in university, the lectures tend to be 1 way communication where they are very busy checking messages or surfing facebook

when you ask them what is their contributions, they would ask back .. what you have done? We are the national hero who give you the opportunities to spent the money like a boss instead of channeling the money to the national development or for the benefit of the other tax payers

then u got to understand... it is a LOAN, for different purpose...

it share the same concept and payback scheme...with lower interest/after graduate/grace period/whichever??

so if this also cannot pay, how to expect them to payback other loan??

they should be prepared the moment they sign the contract..

Car Loan -> sign contract -> be prepared to pay every month

Education Loan -> sign contract -> expect no need to pay

i cant brain this lo...

wat they want is free education

free education = no loan = no interest = after grad, go to work, baru buat loan sana loan sini for car, house, etc2

cancel ptptn => provide free education

thats the goal

why TS & alike cant see that?

its a proven record a country really can provide free education, its just us who didnt want to...instead, we approved gomen to provide FREE fuel for IPPs to generate excessive power & sold back with exorbitant price to TNB at the expense of gomen moneh

PTPTN == cover tuition fees and living costs

Free Education == Free tuition Fees
Free Education != allowances
Abolish PTPTN and free Education== No allowances

Free Tuition Fees and Allowance == get you fc...ng scholarship or get 1st class

It is a proven record in other country? No, get your facts right .. you still have to pay for the administration fees and need to support your living cost.

Who is eligible for exemption from loan repayment?

Eligible borrowers are borrowers whose loan are approved before 1 July 2005 and those who complete their bachelor’s degree studies with first class honours.

wat they want is free education

free education = no loan = no interest = after grad, go to work, baru buat loan sana loan sini for car, house, etc2

cancel ptptn => provide free education
thats the goal

why TS & alike cant see that?

its a proven record a country really can provide free education, its just us who didnt want to...instead, we approved gomen to provide FREE fuel for IPPs to generate excessive power & sold back with exorbitant price to TNB at the expense of gomen moneh

malaysia got lots of money, mostly from our natural resources.

because of BN, it's either:

1. spend that money to provide free education

or:

2. dump more rakyat's money to IPPs, PKFZs, COWndos, 30k laptops, 1.5k screwdrivers, son's porsches, dan lagi, dan lagi, dan lagi...

if BN is efficient at managing rakyat's money, you think anybody will make such unusual requests?

ETP programs already help a lot of citizen and it was proven beneficial to citizens... instead of channeling the money to pay back the gov agencies where PTPTN previously borrow the money ... and currently there are the limited spaces of spot and stiff competition as the IPTS would need to closed down and cause unrest among the races due to certain factors... I prefer the money to be channel for ETP or other national development instead of causing more unrest in the future

I and millions of people have benefited from the ETP programs regardless what are the accusations... so, instead of pointing finger to the corruptions that are still in the trial in court, why don't you take on the positive sides of the recent direct contributions of the current gov. Which one better, RM 46 billion to all tax payers or for the benefit of the students who failed their scholarship interview and doesn't get 1st class at the end of their course to get the waiver?

This will not work dude.

1. This will further longkang-drop our IPTA standard because everyone graduating will be first class. Sounds familiar? Yeah just like Matrikulasi.

2. This will generate exam oriented graduates because everyone will be fighting for A's. Again familiar? SPM. They will have no skills other than taking exam

If so many people got 1st class and ptptn has to waive the loan, I'm sure they will lose money. As a result,in the future, they will amend their policy stating all students must pay back full amount plus interest regardless of they're getting 1st class or not.

I have no problem with free education.
however the free education only apply to Government U and colleges only, not Private college and U.
But I dun agree with those who borrow dun wan payback.
instead of going for protest how about going for part time job.
IIRC, in some countries they offer part time job for the student to support their student life without disrupting their studies.
We should let them know nothing come free, you need to earn it.

this protest has showed how ignorance are students nowadays in malaysia,

There ain't such thing as free lunch in this world, behind the free lunch someone has to bear the cost of it,

if u r expecting a free tertiary education then who's going to pay all sorts of expenses in the universities,at the end the costs will be diverted to the people in this country and this resulted a heavy taxes to the people.

For example rm200 book voucher,a political candy gave by the gomen, has worsen the gomen financial deficit which is already in a critical condition and ended up we as a taxpayers got to cover up the deficit.

FYI even in developed country such as uk ,usa there is no such thing as free uni education, they nid to either get a bank loan or part time job to pay for their living and tuition fee.

So pls dun spend your time on this trivial and pointless issue and aim for a more holistic problems that faced by m'sia now,(e.g systematic corruption, economics equity, education reform, electoral reform etc) so that everyone in this country has a equal opportunity to maximize their potentials regardless what races u r, what's ur belief and where r u from as long as u work hard and play by the rules.

Obviously PTPTN is a blunder that needs to be removed and the student debt has to be written off. We need to go back to the drawing board for a new and comprehensive education policy from primary to secondary and tertiary level. A new formula must be found. A formula that is best for the country and its future generation. And if the demand is of some standard and quality, it is not going to be cheap either. But going by the way the government is spending at the moment, I doubt that we do not have the money to fund a new education system.
