QUOTE(droid13579 @ May 6 2012, 04:16 PM) Read this: (If you are using Windows) still unable to let the adb work I guess YOU NEED TO READ STEP 4! Step 1 Make sure that the required drivers for your android device are properly installed on your PC. Step 2 Download and install the Android SDK Step 3 For adb to work on version 8 of the SDK Starter package we have to add Platform Tools part to the SDK. Below are the steps: 1. Open root directory of the SDK (for e.g. if you’ve installed or extracted it on:/ then go to this address “C:\Program Files\android-sdk-windows” 2. Find “SDK Manager” and double-click on it to execute. 3. It will check for updates on the Android website, and a pop up window will appear showing a list of available downloads. Just add the “Android SDK Platform Tools” and reject everything else Step 4 Add Path variable to avoid long lines of commands every time you want to run adb. Below are the steps: 1. Right-click on “My Computer” and select “Properties”. Now under the “Advanced Tab” select “Enviroment Variables” 2. Scroll and find the “Path” variable from the list. Double-click on it to edit it. 3. Now add the full path of the “tools” and “platform-tools” folders of the SDK to your path. For e.g. on my computer, I had it installed in — C Drive – Program Files – Android – android-sdk. So, I put this in the Path (don’t put any space on either side of the semi-colon mark [;] which separates the pat of ‘tools’ folder and ‘platform-tools’ folder) – “C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\tools;C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools” Step 5 On your Android device go to Settings->Applications->Development and make sure that “USB Debugging” is ticked. It’s essential for ADB to work! Now plug your phone into your PC (using original cable that’s supplied by your manufacturer is recommended when working with ADB). If a window pops up saying “installing drivers” then wait for it to complete installation Step 6 Open command prompt from the menus, or Open “Run > and type cmd” to execute Command Prompt Now insert the following code: CODE C:\> adb devices This should display something like the following : CODE List of devices attached XXX12345 device If you can see your device in the list then congratulations! You’ve done well. You are now good to start using adb. Enjoy! If it’s NOT appearing in the list make sure that drivers are properly installed and you’ve enabled “USB Debugging” as told in Step 5. will try again tonight |

Anyone notice that WhatsApp with ICS keyboard on AOKP M5 has got this behaviour. While in a conversation, if message comes in, sometimes as you type, the letters wont appear in the textbox. Have to return out from conversation window and get back in then only can proceed.

QUOTE(lkoky @ May 6 2012, 07:12 PM) OK, just turn it off. yes, it is more power savings i return the mod is not well tweaked. meaning. it will use more powerbut, having this turn on doesnt it suppose to make the phone more battery saving? CONFUSED YET? why i say this, ok, take this for instance. 1)ok normally, u leave data on, wifi on, sync etc. screen shut what happen? - they remain on and continue searching for apoint and connecting to 3g network for internet, and sync non stop. = not power savings. 2)same as be4, u leave all on, but adjust power savings. what happen - they will sync at specific intervals, wifi will off or leave, data will drop to 2g. = then u will scold me and say, OF COURSE it saves power. Wait. 3) so lets say u balik rumah, shower and prepare tidur. u turn everything off, wifi, data, sync. and on alarm. -all will stay and behave as itz off. BUT, when the interval kicks in, the wifi will on, data will on to connect/go 2gmode, and sync will be pushed on to receive data. = more power is wasted as after they all decide to on and party for 5 minutes, they REMAIN ON. so say if u leave all off and power saver off, compare with all off with power saver on. u will still get better power savings off than on, as u will get all the jumping data and force 2g running and not turned off. oh yeah, to count the interval, power is also needed. if the phone is left in deep sleep and dun nid on to mess around, power drain is kept optimum. |

QUOTE(GNaiLaij- @ May 6 2012, 03:46 PM) Which mean it is anti-fingerprint + clear? May I know where can I get it and normally how much is it? Seem ebay and lowyat do not have this crystal SP. hmm Hm... sounds interesting. Anti fingerprint... not so important, if it is easy to wipe. It won't be as reflective as a clear one? On my Magic I have a cheap matte one, helps a lot making it readable under sunlight, but there is a glittery (?) effect now (similar but stronger than my matte notebook display). Does anyone have a photo? A quick search didn't find me one, maybe someone here has it...?@ro9212: The Nexus is more of a "tinkerers" phone. It really depends on what you want. If you want a big and sharp screen and don't want to pay too much (One X) then this might be the phone for you. You may not want to have lots of space in the phone, because it can't be extended. In that case you should look for the Galaxy S2 or something like that. If you just want the S3 CPU you can try to get the Meizu MX in the Quadcore version. Resolution shouldn't be much lower (lower resolution, but no pentile), it's smaller (4"), sound quality should be great as always for Meizu. 32 GB memory. ICS coming soon. Gorilla glass I think. It's not much more than the Galaxy Nexus, I think around 1,5k? If you can find a way to get it from China/Hong Kong, i.e. relatives or friends going there etc. |
