Got my car today.. It was a wonderful nite for me and my wife driving our new car..WWV..
Great experience especially when we have to stop at traffic light and people start look at our car..! Hahaha.. Amazing..

Many owner getting their K5 this week. So when is our next TT session? I'm sure many of them can't wait to meet with other K5 as well.

Thought of that as well but tomorrow going outstation and wife got early doctors appointment so dont want to rush...anyway..any tips since i will collect the car and drive it oustation, i guess should be ok right if i dont floor it too much..

I just got my car this afternoon. Got some paint dented in the front bumper, but the SA wrote the in deliver list and will re-paint it during 1st Service.

I'm very small size girl. The car really too big. Sit in barely can see the front. Don't really dare to drive this monster. Plan to swap car with my bf's forte ..

Considering either camry or this car.... I am always an Toyota fag , so can you all tell me how's the reliability of Kia ?? (more concern about the reliability compare to specs) My last car was a camry too... 7 years without any major problem. So help me out please guys

I've just driven my car up Genting yesterday, and it didn't really impress me as i've imagined. The power feels lackluster, the automatic gears kept trying to shift higher to save fuel so i was forced to switch it to manual mode. However, handling wise it was good, it gives you the confidence that your car will stick to the line and not roll off the hill. And most importantly of all, a few other camrys were moving at the same pace as I did   

After four months of ownership, my car has so many dents and damages even i also gave up.
1) Scraped my side skirt against a f**king makeshift private road curb, 
2) Scratched my rear rim badly
3) Few scratches here and there on the car body (it wasn't me, some bastards did those)

As for interior, I wonder why nobody here has ever complained about the clicking noises everywhere in the cabin?
1) I have annoying clicking noise from the sunroof right above my head (it comes from within the sunroof rail)
2) Annoying vibrating noise coming from underneath the front passenger seat
3) Annoying vibrating noise coming from the front left speaker grill on the dash
4) Annoying sound coming from the right side B-pillar, behind my head.
5) Sound coming out from the rear right suspension, it goes "gyaaak" when people step out of the car

(All the sounds come out when you drive over rough road surfaces, very obvious especially when radio is off)

And best of all, went i complained to the service centre during my second service, after 1 day, they told me "Sir, your car is still brand new, we dare not to open up your sunroof and scared that we might cause it to leak in the future. We shall report your problems to the central technical department and they shall contact you." Now my car is due for second service and I have not even received a missed-call from them yet.

Now i just wondering, is my car a lemon? I'd suggest we all list out our car problems here, and compile a list of the problems for future references. Shall we? 

Is the K5 always move the electrical seat when is on and off?

Can the function be turn off? thanks you.

I still reconsider for K5, but it seems a lot of problem.

cm98, I think we should list all problems with the car so that everyone can look and compare. If someone has already managed to fix it, they can update for everyones benefit. Trying to limit info isnt' really useful to anyone. Perhaps we get this as a natural insticnt from the way our govt runs this country and controls what info we should get but lets try to share info as much as possible without worrying if ppl will wanna buy the car. If the probs are highlighted and solved, it will make the brand more popular. If they're swept under the carpet .... well, that was the main problem for Proton. Just my suggestion as I'm also interested to understand what the issues are with the car and what are still not solved. tq.

I dont have that foul smell but sometimes smell from the outside does into the cabin..like When i was trailling behind a taxi which I think engine needs overhaul, I can smell his fumes but only slightly...not sure if the vents are fully closed for modern cars as I notice this in quite a number of my colleagues cars as well from inspiras to c-class

sometimes it is not all bout getting the latest tech.

Thanks, I think the culprit is because the vents automatically opens (not sure what you call that function-recycle??) when you switch off air con which was not a feature of older cars. dust and insects may find a way inside during this time. I always manually close the vent each time before I switch off the car. My wifes forte now has that damp smell each time she switches on the aircon just like you for 10 seconds before it reverts to normal. Can try getting the SC to change the filter but not sure if it will help...
