s3 screen is bullshit la. RGB ftw! pentile sux level >100000000000

Pentile display is not that bad -lah. Look at some shots I have taken of the HOX against G Note ( similar display as the S III ). The colors I'd say look slightly better on the G Note while text the HOX is slight better. The differences is very slight only unless you have microscopic eyes. Looking at each in isolation, I suppose most users will be happy with it

I am sure samsung bosses/engineers knows better than us the rationale using a pentile display for their flagship phone

Actually just to correct some points. S-Beam uses NFC so you don't have to be connected to WiFi. Also, Face Unlock is actually very fast; in some instances, same speed as slide to unlock. Just that it won't be as secure as pattern unlock etc.

i believe another 3-5 years Phone can instead DSLR camera already .
yep that's true , that's why nowadays new phone spec & features doesn't really impress me too much .
Right the moment only some features can impress me for phone tech

1. SiriĀ  - not really usefull and mature
2. S Beam - i believe need Wifi connected too ?
3. Face Unlock - take's time to unlock , rather use slide .
4. iCloud - Dropbox apps better than it .
5. Htc camera shooting while Video - Nice feature , sometimes it's useful .

seriously i can't really think what to list already sweat.gif

What i expect .

1. Waterproof technology
2. Flexi screen (maybe another 2 years)
3. Battery Life issue ! - Either Solar charge or Wifi charge
4. New user interface for iOS and Android .
5. Samsung please use better material .at least let us feel that's expensive stuff .
6. iPhone please use Gorilla glass lar

S beam doesn't require connection to WiFi in order to function
Actually ipong material is also nowhere good, just that they boast about how good it is

i read from somewhere that they're unable to produce 720p RGB amoled screen in 4.7 ~ 4.8 inch, so i think they shift to 4.8 inch pentile.
Samsung is well known for their Vivid + sharp screen display, especially in their flagships. Their screen oways their major selling point and standout feature compare to other phone maker.

But this pentile really make them not so superior after all.

New battery technology? The battery that we have today are the best there is already. Chemical Battery technology reach it'll full potential even earlier than the silicon base electronics. The only new technology the future chemical battery has to offer is the speed of recharging. Imagine a battery that can be fully recharge in less than a minute.

On a whole, it proly is not that big of a deal, especially to the majority. But microscopic differences can create a macro difference, which some ppl are sensitive to. Even all this high reso, some people see the difference (or at least can feel affected by it), and some ppl for the life of them can't make out the difference at all

I see S3 with the quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex A9 processor is good point to buy. not bcoz of quad core but bcoz of the efficient energy feature it has. Screen with pentile just a minor issue. What do you expect for a handphone. It is not home theater.
