The V3-571G does run hot when playing games, and it is expected since it is using an Ivy Bridge processor, which can run rather hot smile.gif.

No idea, cause no one has tried it yet biggrin.gif. I don't see any chance of myself trying to install Mac OS on it. smile.gif
*
i managed to install Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3, got a lot of problems and but still follow up now:

(1) MBR dual boot (win7 OEM, Mac) on single HDD - OK
(2) keyboard, USB mouse, trackpad - OK
(3) ethernet - OK
(4) wireless - NOT OK
(5) sound - OK
(6) display - use default resolution (1024x768) -- Intel HD 4000 Graphics so far is not supported by Mac OS X

Hope this help.

P/S: you can use system info from olarila.com to check status and to download drivers (http://olarila.com/kexts/) after installed MacOS X

Hello there, thanks for posting your experience trying to install M.OS on the V3-571G. I'll post it onto the first page if you don't mind biggrin.gif.

Well, high heat does cause components' life span to lower, but your notebook should last you for quite some time if quality components are used. It is expected for your AC adapter to be hot since it's supplying power smile.gif. hmm.gif. Running your notebook in an air-conditioned room does help too, but you don't have to worry too much as long as you have a good cooling system for it. You can choose to limit your notebook processor's maximum load state to to help keep temperatures in check, or if you want to do something about the heat, then you can open it up to replace the thermal material. It is pretty hard to open the V3-571G though.

Updated the thread with photos of the V3-571G internals biggrin.gif. Disassembling the V3-571G is pretty easy now that I have managed to get it apart. You'll shit-brix at first when trying to open it since you don't know exactly what's holding the stuff together until you manage to get the parts to pop out one by one biggrin.gif.
