Lifespan for the V3-571G is subjective, so if you get one, yours may last for over 4 years, or less than 4 years. smile.gif

hmm.gif. The notebook can reach to over 80C. I got up to 80C playing Company Of Heroes, but this is with Turbo Boost enabled. The processor normally goes up to 3.3GHz automatically upon loading games.

Like I have said before, it is actually very dependent on your luck. hmm.gif. But yes, running heavy programs all the time does tax the notebook, and can generate a lot of heat.

hmm.gif. Are you using the plastic tab for the left click or the touchpad area? If it's the touchpad area, then yes, it's pretty sensitive by default and can prove to be annoying at times, but you can set the touchpad's sensitivity by pressing the mini ^ on the bottom right of your V3-571G, and by double clicking the mini smart-pad picture found at the pop up window to set the touchpad's sensitivity.

It shouldn't be like that. Mine does require some force before it clicks. Perhaps you should contact your reseller for an exchange.

Updated thread with a guide on how to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 on the V3-571G. It is highly recommended for users of the Aspire V3-571G who are experiencing issues with it e.g slow-motion boot up. It seems that the software that Acer has included with the V3-571G can create conflicts on certain V3-571G, thus creating problems like slow-motion boot up.

Under light to heavy loads, the heat is not noticeable for the palm resting areas as well as most part of the keyboard, it is just slightly warm. The part above the CPU heat-sink does get slightly hot though under load, but with a keyboard protector it should be totally unnoticeable.
