1yes i lift heavy items all the time.
not just plate and dumbells ...

power is the energy contained in muscle, strength is the efficient of power delivering to task/ work done
to deliver power efficiently, u may to have flexibility

2any resistance training that is repeating in fixed simple movement

refer to my 1st answer lol.

complex in term of the objects isnt human anatomically friendly
extreme example
u may able to lift 300kg barbell (simple) , but can hardly fully lifting 200kg steel ball without external tool (complex as it involves more body parts and efforts)

heres something to think about; how long can an obese person survive without food? given the case scenario he gets all the liquids (water only) that he wants. Shouldnt he be able to burn off all his fat stores before dying of starvation?
