hmm judging about it it seem u have sega ID register long long time before this game, i wonder is it montly payment to play (it will be montly payment fee as PSU history) + need to buy they software game in same time, guess game like this if free to play will be suck i think but i rather play single player if have.

2days with 5hrs playtime only.
Suppose server uptime is 6pm though now 8pm already.

At 7.30pm more than 25k users logged in together causing server to be overloaded.

login about 2 hours ago, all the 10ship fulled except ship7 and ship9 lol so i create a char at ship9.

miss the Pre-OBT signup, so when will they go public open beta?(i meant the real obt not limit by day register or limited people registeration), hope is not p2p after obt ended.
wonder when if NA/Global get it? possible p2p? hard to tell right XD

Oh, and sorry to burst your hopes, but the patch for official release might be 1GB big too, or more. lol

The new 1.03 patch(said in the announcement) required for official release supposedly comes with a slew of new maps, enemies and God knows what other extras coming. Checked it on Kotaku. Besides, didn't the official system requirement on the site stated that you need more than 8GB of HDD space? And now it's still less than 5GB.

So yeah... expect another 6-hour waiting nightmare.

Wierd.. official site stat the patch diskspace req is about 10MB...
Only for new download patch is 3GB diskpace req...

What is the site where u get that info? Let me take a look.

Patch download notification.

After Game update finish, picture's title on the lower right hand cornered version will be Ver.1.0003.

When updating the patch, my document HDD req must have around 10MB.

*For beginning game download users, patch download HDD req must have around 3GB.

Usually the game patches will be downloaded to my document and extracted to C:/Programfiles under Sega.
Altough as suggested 3GB.. i only downloaded 1.5GB patch during open beta. Follow on another patch which was quick and it ended up in less then 30mins.
And there's also a patch just now which ended quickly too.
The Official site advise us to download the patch at around this time 1AM-4PM*as usual what they always did*.

I can't find it anymore since they revamped the site.

However, I do clearly remember that on the download steps page on the very bottom, there was a list of system requirement. Under HDD space it wrote [8GB以上].

Common sense dictates that it might be large anyway, judging from Kotaku's article, which you can look here.

"To celebrate the official release, there will be an update adding a whole new area, the tundra, with added enemies. Story-oriented quests, time-attack quests, new wedding themed skins, and other additional contents have been added as well."

No need worry haha.. During the mega big patch probably already included it. They didnt activate those additional feature just waiting for after beta only. Btw.. i think somewhere i read, they mention debit card is useable as long has the Visa logo. Not sure for Master.

Regarding question on buying AC without Credit card. Debit card purchase is working.

Juz bought 1000AC. But.. not sure why... i had problem buying another 500AC... Because i keep getting error page display when i tried logging in to isao site to buy. Took me several attempts.. Think they are having difficulty with the site itself..

You can just join whichever Ship you wish, I joined 8 because Ship 2 was congested before.
If you're in 8 you can join in my Guild/Team if you want, all of us are English speakers and quite a number of us seems active.

I'm current stuck at lvl30 trying to unlock the lvl40 cap.
And I usually play once I get back from work around 8pm-ish and I tend to head to bed around 2am or so.

One of the most awkward combination... a rusted hose sewn onto a mammoth.


Strolling around seems cool untill u encounter this sprang out of nowhere infront of u. It had gigantic bigfoot accompanying it even u bring it down.


Taking down the previous cat thinking it's over, you are wrong! Bonus ahead of you. This one looks quite alike to the previous one but it's more like an enhanced version of that cat.


Somehow i had no idea how to kill it, i stuck it over a cliff with another jp player. A force with 3 AI and a hunter with 3 AI using gunslash to slowly poke it to death lol..

I just reached tundra =.=;

there's a new time arena for you ,once u completed the tundra map. I lazy to explore.
That time arena has that cat inside. Although not the fluffy one. Will need a hunter to straight tank it or it's gonna get ugly if you dodge around.

Seems at later stages hunter will start to get more vital roles dealing with bosses. Simply training the mobs around will not work. These bosses had tremedous running speed just like monster hunter's boss. This one seems to remind me of Jinouga especially the last one. Although it doesnt charge itself up. The first cat i did was straight tank and the jp force had time to launch full attacks on it. The 2nd one was too fast. I was knocked off the ground and it was waiting for me to get up. The minute i hit jump to pick myself up quick. 2nd attack came in the when i'm on my feet.

Btw the mob in tundra is more easier to exp on compare to the ones we had on prev 3 maps. Except for the tundra fongalfs. Those yetis n mamoth are extremely weak if u hit their weak spot. Probably 2-3hits will bring it down. gigantic yeti is same as the small ones. Hit from behind on it's stump and it'll be sitting duck. mamoth had a blunt horn on it top. U can stand on it's back and hit on the weak spot.

@merru ya have to straight tank directly and exchange blow. If u dodge here and there, it'll be worse.

@Marcion no manual offline patch. The only option is to download the whole thing. Some pple have actually uploaded the whole updated game folder for download.

well last night i try update it again at 11:25 pm and leave it till morning the update was successful. have to wait till i home to create character, so normally which server most english speaking? i read some info on web that some server are full that unable to create character.

Greetings.

Ship1-5. Overpopulated. Mostly consist of "Alien" players.
Factors that contributed to the character register restriction.
-Players unable to return to lobby from Myroom.
-Big loadtime accessing the shop/auction.
-Unable to switch in between block.
They are also quite a number of players unable to access isao web to purchase AC on 4th of July onwards.

They didnt expect pso2 would have so many players that they original expected. It had unexpectedly went over the server's capacity. They're are very well aware of the situation but helpless. They only way to they did was to redistribute the premium blocks from ship6-10 since there's quite a number of underpopuplated ones and brought to ship1-5. Maintenance might take place throughout the week if any issues were to arise again.

Quite a number of english players on Ship2 if u asked. At least i believe that they are quite active. On ship 8 , quite a number were quite busy with RL activities. The numbers on ourside at ship 8 isnt little compared to 2 but the online time u see would be 1-4players. So most of the time u'll need to jump into random party. Which means a little bit of JP greetings would be necessary.

U'll see every u go with this mini booth. The one with the purple icon. Follow as instructed to click.
U can set your game to be windowed instead of full screen.This will make it more convenient for you to switch between your browser and client to copy paste name id you want to locate.

Please be aware that Char ID is your player's name. User id is your ingame acc id. The one you register on sega and login to pso2 is SEGA acc ID.

not hardcore lo, ya after go throught the ingame tutoria(not much know of japanese word but some word and picture/video give u hint about gameplay function) but a bit not used to keyboard+mouse play, i prefer joystick as i play phantasy star universe on ps2 before. i havent go get quest yet too, there much to learn in this new game XD.

usually jp wont answer english. it's kind of rare that they will answer back. some jp also does not tolerate english speaker.

ya it is rare when playing japanese on9 game to begin with, unless u meet friendly jp ppl who will either used both language, it remind me back of one of older online english game which is i meet one jp girl used english very well in chat. guess have to gather all the lyt members here as least feel alone in alien world lol

Ya.. it's the same as china or taiwan. You run into their server and speak english, chances that you'll be ignored or worse you'll be ridicule by them.

Pso2 doesnt cater to only japan however. They'll release english version sooner or later.

It's the same like ff11 online. When it started , it's pure japanese. Later on they had english options. Though there is still a barrier between japanese and english player.

Japanese ended up reserving parties for JP onry in their comment.

i been wondering how to lv up faster for non hardcore player ?

at lv 20 plus just join random jp party. If u manage to join into some exp rush map, u'll get into fast lvling. These pts usually will cause pse burst which will acelerate exp rates. The longest i've seen is 5min cross burst. Although there's a huge problem afterwards. U'll see alot of drops on the floor since your backpack only manage to handle 50 max. It'll also cause your client to crash.

^ experienced my first cross burst yst (i'm soloing the emergency mission then later bumped into 2 4-man team). The screen filled with explosions lol (and almost crashed my client)

well today i try that pse burst didnt made the game crash after sudden appear of ppl at emergency mission, can say the screen filled with explosions gun granade lol
