Smoothness significantly more / less stutters than sammy GB roms? Tempted to upgrade too, but rather used to jkay and sammy swipe to call/msg nonsense. Still not something I can't live without I guess

Siyah kernel and codeworkx (if you use CM9) is very smooth just like GB. With ICS elastic scrolling it feels even better than GB for me. Yeah u got no swipe but that i can live without. Swipe is cool but tapping a button is always easier. Jkay not so important to me cos most statusbar mod can be done in aosp/aokp and i use widget locker.

Many SGSII user here are on ICS already. Some say a bit lag on ICS. Some say much smoother. Me..i find not much different as i still on stock rom.
If you still haven't buy the phone then better wait for SGS3 with ICS fully utilized right out from the box.

Hmm cools. So without the kernel not as smooth as say CR6? But yeah, think the whole elastic scrolling thing makes it feel good.
But what annoys me is that I still do get stutters on my current setup, not those that affect speed per se, just slightly jittery animations when opening/closing apps and what nots. Was wondering if ICS solves that to a certain extent at least.

But yeah, was thinking of giving AOSP roms a go since jkay and what nots is taking forever
