i din said dun trust bebeq.. i just felt weird that if bebeq able to update 4.0.3 y can't those ap set like directD offered 2.3.3.. maybe like u said they r bz... if i bought then can't update wanna find him b leceh lah.. look at garage sales.. mostly sell the ap set for non G all come with 2.3.3 de said internet got issue lah can't update to 2.3.6 lah but actually can update anot we not sure.. said only also no prove.. u feel me? so i guess those sell I9100 non G for ap set actually hardware is G version.. G can remove or add easily if they know how 2 do.. i'm noob so i dunno that's y i'm asking..

once u connected wifi.. i dunno y G version keep refreshing every few sec.. (I9100G SME)

the back button need to press many times.. sometimes ok but 80% u need to press back at least 2~3 times.. very leceh.. the back button really got serious issue.. maybe other dun have this issue.

any seller can change bootanimation , can change build prop . can change box ,can change serial number ,can change warranty sticker, can change mostly everything

My own personal advice is get a non-G version. Either buy brand new AP set or buy 2nd hand local non-G set.
You cannot change the hardware la bro. The CPU and GPU different between this two version. If you flash a G  version firmware updates on a non-G phone then you'll end up soft bricking that phone already. So there's no way dealer/seller gonna sell a G version phone as a non-G one. It's IMPOSIBBRUUU..!!!

Nothing MAJOR exactly. Well known issue was its camera prone to freeze. And a few issue with sdcard.
Other than that the phone is okay if you gonna use it as it is.
But if you kaki flashing then you're in deep problem as the G version got very limited custom roms and kernel to ply with.

I do believe the camera and sdcard problems will be solved sooner or later by Samsung firmware updates. Just need a bit more patience if you're using a G version SGSII.

What issue with 4.0.4? G version gonna have CM7 soon and the number of custom rom is increasing. I believe using custom rom and kernel can make the G version on par with non G in terms of no more issues.

Come on .. Bebeq looks muscular, but he is a nice guy..
At first it seems skeptical, but after using it, it's a non-G confirmed.
Like I said, if it's a G, there is no way you can stream you tube desktop movies 1080p smoothly, even at 720p it strutters. For the non-G, its smooth like silk.

But I have to agree I can't get updates too. KIES got error saying your version cannot be updated.
Other than that, just chill and flash through ODIN. Case close.

Yeah, I have to agree to what you said, check first before paying, before I bought, I checked thoroughly, in and out, out and in, side to side, back to front, for one hour, until bebeq got annoyed..
