1. The amp is 4 channel sufficient to cater for your speakers and subwoofer. I don't think it will cut off, unless you turn up the volume.
2. Please buy from someone else.

I am not talking about the price. I am talking about why he insist that a monoblok is a must.

Your setup will run fine, even without the monoblok. As long as the guy who install know how to tune properly.

I would say, stay away from monoblok for now. Take what you have and listen and enjoy. Tak cukup, baru tambah.

SONY ok for you or not, I don't know. SONY is not OK for quazacolt.

Very hard to recommend a few more choices with the budget you have.

I would suggest to save more. 3~4k would be a better start into ICE.

If you really want to feel the difference, invest in a nice front component set first. And YES, with the amount of your current budget.
Maybe you will be satisfied and stop here, maybe you will not.
BUT you definitely won't regret NOT GETTING the SONY. tongue.gif

Front component set lor? I just said, didn't I?

But you sound like you definitely want a subwoofer.

If it is me, I would spend it on a nice front component set. Preferably German Maestro, my fav. Can try Focal too.

1.3K you can get a very good front component already.

I am not saying you shouldn't go for the SONY. If your budget will be only that, then SONY would be a choice for you. I'm not sure about Pioneer etc...

BTW, if possible, don't buy a speaker thru looking at the prices in internet... unless you have listen to THAT particular speaker before.

Do consider some reservation on the budget for installation fees as well.

Should not be a problem to locate it in Melaka.

Sorry, not Melaka guy.

You can try GM Concept or Focal Performance(If I get the name correctly).

Most of the speakers will perform better with amplifiers, because it amplifies also because your HU not kuat enough to amplify.

If you are new to ICE, I would tell you to install step by step, instead of putting everything in together.
Both ways will definitely show some improvement, the difference would be you will know what are being improved.

If you are new into ICE, go and listen to it yourself will be easier for you to make a decision. Instead of reading what people is saying in the forum.

But I can honestly tell you, any shop that is really into making business, "Test"/"Try" and listen is something that they will not hesitate to do for the customer.

Melaka definitely have a proper audio shop, since you have a Almera, just drive around and lookout lor...

Guys, I can't find any discussion regarding tablet as ICE that can answer me. Well, thinking of getting a cheapo tablet, in range of RM 2xx - 4xx as a replacement of player in my car. My friend use 3.5mm to 3.5mm from his Aigopad to his player and from the player to his pre-amp and subwoofer. I don't know how is the exact connection as I'm new to card. BTW, I only drive Saga 1.6 SE. sweat.gif

The reason I want to make android tab as player is IMO most tab have better display in resolution and color. And they are cheaper. Plus I don't need to change the player or install the LCD that might void the warranty. Not to mention a lot of stolen player in a car. Please note that I'm still new in ICE and I don't even know the right sequence. Please correct my mistake. biggrin.gif

Does the player determine the AUDIO quality? I mean from cheap to expensive? And from this brand to that brand? My current plan is:

CODE

a) Tablet -> aux -> stock player -> pre-amp, amp, speaker.
b) Stock player -> pre-amp, amp, speaker.

I wonder a) will cause the sound become worse, better or maintain. I have a USB DAC. And I'm thinking of:

CODE

c) Tablet -> USB DAC -> aux -> stock player -> the rest...

And I wonder if USB DAC in car will improve the sound. Well, in computer and mobile case the DAC really improve the output and way better than on-board soundcard.

I used to heard a saying "an mp3 sound worse than a CD". Well, in my tab my collection are FLAC and 320kbps mp3. In other word, they are high quality ripped. Will playing from a tab sound worse than a CD? What I think is mp3 sound sucks than CD when the mp3 are low quality ripped and combined with a sucky modulator.

Thanks...

orait bro...i will search melaka area first to test the german maestro n focal if i can find at the nearby audio shop....but the most important is to try and listen to the speaker itself which i did not have the chance to do it... T_T

maybe u are right, it is better for me to go 1 by one....instead of buying 1 set with a minimum price and later will not satisfied with the performance...right?
