Hey guys, Suddenly I have a thought of changing my plan... which do you guys prefer with budget around 300-380 for Myvi

1) get an active sub, since it also come with built in amp to help enhance front speaker sound nicer(Correct me if I'm wrong with the amp)
2) just change both of the front 4inch speaker

Please suggest! More suggestion also welcome! I just want it to be better than its original sound system rclxms.gif
*
2) change the front speaker first.

*If budget allow, consider a component set.

Clarity yes.. but the bass thing is a little exaggerated la. It'll be loads better than stock. But it's nothing compared to a standalone sub.
*
I didn't expect the bass to be like sub la... atleast better than the bass-less stock speaker is good for me... mayb like bass level of some cheapo 6x9 speaker?

QUOTE(superdeemon @ Mar 27 2013, 07:46 AM)
Well bro, with that budget in hand I should say by replacing all front & rear speakers to 'coaxial' speakers system will justify you some degree of better sounding yeah  smile.gif ...I have seen & heard of such effects already
*
I'll take note on that!! Seems like many ppl suggest the change the front speaker first!

I'm somewhat noob in ICE... can clarify about "Component set"? does it mean whole set of speaker with same brand?

A component set consists of a tweeter pair, midbass pair and a pair of crossovers.

And yes la, underseat woofer will do better than those coaxials in terms of bass.

if radio is a must, then perhaps look for cheaper booster.

good 2din HU with gps from reputable brands cost between 2-3k or even more.
that would pretty much use up most of your budget unless you can stretch it
*
Hi quaz

Thanks bro for replying. Yeap a good 2din ard 3k circa. Then 2k prolly will soend on speakers. Hope its fine. Maybe stretched to 5500 max. Any brand u recommend? Will need to do research first. Am looking at all in hu ie gps, dvd, cd, mp3 hard drive, touchscreen.

Thanks

HU look into alpine/pioneer, speakers you can look around entry/mid level from reputable brand. search around the thread/forum can provide you the answers smile.gif

additionally you can pm reputable installers such as howiechoo and he can help you our (and even can provide auditions for you to get an idea on the speakers he carries)

hi guys, currently looking for a dual-din head unit for my 2004 Nissan X-Trail 2.5 to replace my old Clarion ADX5655Z that came with the car 9 years ago. Only focus on:

- Touch-screen
- dual-din
- Nice looking and easy to use UI
- Physical volume knob and "mute" button
- GPS functionality not required
- Must have bluetooth telephony services and audio streaming
- USB with "Shuffle" function, can read MP3, WMA etc. and also video playback
- AUX
- Supports iPhone/iPod/iPad
- budget: less than RM1500
- Prefer kenwood, clarion. Older models are okay but not too old la.

Thanks smile.gif

Hi Sifu

I'm using Myvi SE2. Kindly advice for SQ Audio setup.

Currently using standard HU (2DIN Player), Alpine SPS-410 (Front Dashboard) & Alpine SPJ-17C2 (Rear door panel)

Plan to upgrade HU and add 6x9 speaker. Prefer Pioneer model, budget around RM700-800.

Appreciate your recommendation.

Thanks

Below 5k? Wah.. even 4k is reasonable? If so you have a very healthy budget. Shouldn't be a problem to get HU, woofer, component speakers and amp. Now all you need is to find a trustworthy installer.

If Bukit Jalil - EA Autoworks - Howiechoo. PM him and he'll set you up with the right equipment (all new)
If PJ / Damansara - CV Audio Uptown Damansara - Peter Chong. Go to his shop, tell him what you want and he'll set you up nicely (all new)

If you're looking to DIY and buy 2nd hand stuff, that'll take a lot longer to do but there's a lot you can do with 4k 2nd hand!
