hi, can i upgrade from streamyx 4mbps to unifi vip 5? how much is the installation fee and can i keep the same home number?
my streamyx is registered under my moms name..

jovenne, do i have to keep my homeline in order to get the same number on unifi voip? or just terminate homeline and streamyx together?

1)so can i choose what phone number i want or just get random number from tm?

Hope you can help me with my Streamyx upgrade.
It is so difficult to get my Streamyx upgrade through TM, everyone is giving the different answers.

I requested for an upgrade to 4MB in Jan. Eventually I got my 4MB within 2 days. Surfing happily.
But my bill statement is still on my old package so I thought it will be change later when they update the system.
After few months later, my streamyx package change to 512 instead, which my original package is 1MB which I think there is a mistake here.
Call TM and say my line not supported. But I've been surfing for months under 4MB and I pretty happy with the stability and no technician came to do site survey as well. Now they tell me my line on support 2MB.
I call again and request upgrade once again. Again, no technician came to do site survey and say line not supported. This time they tell me my line on support 1MB.

I was just curious how they say not supported when no one came to survey. And I really did surf on 4MB earlier without issue.

Hope you can get my line upgraded under you.

With the help from Jovenne, I finally got it upgraded successfully. Even going through TM I can't get it upgraded. Jovenne respond to all my queries. I hope all our Malaysia companies can provide such high level satisfaction customer service.

Hi pls help me with relocation unifi thingy. i kinda confuse.

does 300 bucks charge has to be made on the spot with the contractor or it comes together with monthly bill?

and can we bring the wifi machine/cable by ourselves to the new premises? as it stated in the relocation FAQ, that there will be 2 appointments including the collection of the BTU from the initial place. does this necessary?

i re-read the relocation info, it states

"The relocation of a customer's UniFi service will involve 2 appointments with TM, one is for COLLECTION OF BTU (broadband termination unit), and customers are expected to pack all their CPE and transport them to the new premise to be reused"

what is collection of BTU anyway? what is it about?

the thing is, i will be move from my place to new condo in few days.

so i won't be able to go to my current house anymore, in case if its compulsory for them to collecting the wifi sets by themselves T.T

I have some questions about upgrading from streamyx to unifi need to clarify.

Currently I'm using Streamyx 1MB packages RM110 but having problem with telephone cutoff when using it for 1/2 mins. According to telekom technician, they have change/check whatever outside & they suspect internal cabling. They ask me to redo the cabling & see will fix the problem(which I do not believe).

Since need to re-do cabling, might as well change to Unifi. The question is:-

1. Can I use back my telephone no. as in the new unifi no.?
2. According to Unifi CS, I only can have 1 telephone line if I live in apartment/condo unless landed(2 lines). Is it true?
3. Can I use Unifi phone line for Faxing as I using All-in-1 printing machine?
4. What are the charges for upgrading to Unifi.
