for best signal performance it's not recommended with ext ppp & shared with other devices.

homeplug is best connected directly to power point at both ends.

Thank you for your reply.

The reason I am thinking to use Homeplug is to connect those OLD computers that do not have wifi device. Also thinking to use homeplug to connect network cable directly to the laptop and computer so that they can have better direct speed compare with using wireless speed which maybe a bit blocked from the wall in other rooms.

Also, can Homeplug able to use when connect to extension powerpoint plug?

Or you can do wireless bridge and connect with LAN cable. I think is possible.

What about the 'pass through' (If I remember the name correctly) type?

Wireless bridge meaning to connect a wireless router to connect to another wireless router using wireless signal, right?

Must it be using the SAME BRAND, SAME MODEL, SAME TYPE of wireless router to have this wireless bridge?

What is this "pass trough"? OK, will google it later.

Thanks everyone.

I checked the Download Limiter option in my IDM no sign of why it will stop me from using the internet.

Will it be a firewall issue? smile.gif

if only you give a good promo maybe discount 10%-15% for upgrading to higher speed(to subscribe that use already 1 year+++) i think i will upgrade.... please, maxis can give very cheaper price....

right just wait and wait until very2 attractive promo in the future or change new provider in the future...

Agreed. SSM is kinda "meh" promo. TM need to come up with like you say, "very2 attractive promo". Until then I'll just stick with my Screamyx 1Mb. TM also need to make the IPTV optional so that I don't have to pay for something I don't need if I want to upgrade to fibre.

My Unifi in Greenwood Gombak also down just now for 30minutes estimated, the earth icon is orange color but the BTU all green color. Internet service and telephone can't use during that time, IPTV don't test as I never switch it ON.

Now as 12:12am Friday 6th July 2012, everything is running back fine again.

Update:
Check my router LOG, received so many SYN flood attack on my IP. Pls refer attach screenshot
user posted image

No worries, my Unifi stock router still can tahan this attack. Dont know either this attack related to previously disconnection or not.

Update 2: The same attack keep coming as 12:20am

Not unifi down, but i suspect is Google DNS, i changed back to default DNS, then internet back to normal

In D-Link 192.168.01, go to setup, Manual Internet connection options, click Manual Internet connection setup, tick received DNS from ISP.

Don't know whether anyone got same experience as me? hmm.gif

Just to clear some doubt,
The first bill i will be charged with 1 months current and 1 months advance.
Say i am using unifi5, then total will be RM149 x 2 = RM298
With online registeration, i will get i months free.

I would like to know with the advance payment, does that means that i do not need to pay on the 2nd months as i already paid advance ?
