if u got extra $ and u wanna improve pickup, will u go for lightened crank pulley first, instead of 421 extractor with new pipes until the end?

Crank/Cam pulley 1st bro. Exhaust not needed, worst case just chop it off from the cats onwards icon_idea.gif

Make sure its a trustworthy product. If I were you, the 1st thing will be Air-con pulley, Alternator pulley, Cam pulley, Crank pulley, finally a lighten 1.6 flywheel hook it up, I guess that pretty much my foot work wanted to do. flex.gif If everything goes well, your 0~100 should atleast decrease 1 second!

QUOTE(limadekad @ Apr 7 2012, 06:51 PM)
how much would it cost to convert engine from 1.3 to 1.6?
*
Sorry don't know, but my "magician" not recommending it. Saying the fuel supply from original 1.3 is not enough. Stroker kit conversion will result in ultra high compression, need colder spark plug also. He's saying once you had the 1.6 crank hooked up, there is no turning back. ECU, piston, conrod almost everything has to be migrated. To have this idea running safe and sound, he's estimating atleast 5~6k initial investment(not include future breakdown/maintenance/upgrades)... shocking.gif So, I already gave up using original block to upgrade 1.6 idea. However, I'll be seeing MAY BE in the future we'll be having halfcut 1.6CPS, then only decide engine swap. (or may be buy a half cut, strip everything down to upgrade my 1.3 so no need to go JPJ endorse)

U don't need that smile.gif there are S4PE bolt on turbo kit ady, quite powderful I see. From my observation, its likely able to chase a D16 VTEC(not TYPE-R nor SiR). I guess CAMPUR engine is still at its beginning development stage, until Plotong able to figure a better torque curve(may be a shorter intake manifold + reverse engine placement, intake infront/exhaust at the back),forge piston/conrod/12krpm balanced crank, then we're in business! Guess can send for GT300 ady!

Hahah the campro engine is not still at it's beginning development, it is actually near the end of it's lifecycle already. Allegedly by 2015 the Campro will be replaced by the Y-family engine, which is still under development with Lotus. But now DEEARRBEE Haicom has taken over, everything is up in the air at the moment.
*
That's not what I mean. If u remember Skyline GTR R32 was introduced back in the late 80's, since the beginning developement of RB26, it took about 2 decade to fine tune/improve it. maCAMPRO has been introduced for how long only? 5 years? Lately only Plotong managed to use IAFM to manage torque dip at the crucial 2-3krpm. Let's not forget IAFM is an external equipment built by BOSCH, the actual weakness INSIDE the engine has NOT been iron out. With that, I conclude maCAMPRO is still very young and lots of potential if Plotong able to further develope it.

So, I finally brought my baby out to stretch her legs. Here is my personal review:

1) DBW not that bad when I go heavy metal(flooring the accelerator thoroughly)
2) Trying to touch 7krpm, but then when I clutch it and ready to shift up(accelerator already released), RPM continue climbing until rev cut shocking.gif
3) Overall, engine is quite powerful for a 1.3 category, but low torque is very horrible. In order to launch a good 0~100kmh test, 1st gear must keep around 5krpm, let it drop a bit when clutch release to avoid too much wheel spin, then full throttle.
4) Such a high rev(late torque machine), 80kmh finishes on 2nd gear?! Seriously, I think the rear end torque is totally ruined by this short shifted gear box ratio
5) If any of you still remember I'm currently doing 2krpm shift up? When I reach MEX, the 1st thing I did was floor the damn pedal. I was prepared for the sluggish response, but it didn't. It works as usual, torque came up late after 3krpm. Plotong ECU learn? Learn 6 7! shakehead.gif
6) Was doing 140kmh before Sri Kembangan rest stop, but the tire is strongly disagreeing speeding. Shake until I almost drop my jaw. Is that a common problem for Synergy M3? Or my balance is out? Don't know, gotta send for balancing tomorrow.
7) Tire noise/engine noise is unbearable when cruising 120kmh above sweat.gif
8) After Sri Kembangan R&R, was holding 120kmh corner, the car felt like going to terbalik ph34r.gif Gradually release my accelerator to reduce speed. Body roll are UNACCEPTABLE.
9) After MEX Putrajaya toll, back to normal cruising speed. Again, love my SAGA nod.gif Travel below 80kmh, Clarion blast 15 with SONY 6.5 2 way at my front doors + stock rear speakers, its very enjoyable ride.
10) Bumpy roads at Dengkil can not be felt anymore! WOHOO!!! I'm suffering that with my ISWARA every week!

Finally.... I accidently formatted my SD card. All the test results/videos has been erased blink.gif Try to recover, but the files are unuseable. doh.gif

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Apr 8 2012, 11:23 AM)
why aircond pulley ar? alternator pulley also? and for the 1.6 flywheel, i never tot that was relevant? all i thought was only 1.6 throttle body and ofcoz with it chip as well. hmm.gif
*
Base on my RX-2 experience. Without air-con compressor, engine runs @ optimal. However, later after I air-conned the car, with or without switching on the air-con, I did feel the difference. Slightly heavier than usual. Later I sent the car to mod my aircon compressor at Pasir Putih, the magician rojaked the damn thing with some lighten pulley+higher rpm balanced shaft. Since than I nolonger need to cut off my fan belt when I wanna go drag race laugh.gif

Later I went ask for alternator pulley changed to bigger cooling fin+lighten pulley body. With that alone immediately felt like getting another 2hp hooked on my ride laugh.gif you must understand Rotary engine does not have cam/crankshaft. The only shaft it utilize is essentric shaft that link the 2 rotors together, w end of the shaft hooked with a clutch fan(radiator fan), the other side will be clutch+gearbos blink.gif this means a very huge portion of the engine power actually went supplied to the radiator fan! So have I disconnected the clutch fan, replaced with electric fan.

As of the flywheel. My brother's magician taught us 20 years ago, it was a momentum plate that hooked up with your clutch. Nowmally bigger CC will have bigger flywheel, normally 4G13/15 upgrade 4G92/93/63 depending on your appetite. However, got 1 good no 2 good, needle no both side sharp as the Chinese old saying goes. Bigger flywheel generate greater momentum top end, but that at the same time sacrfies pickup. So we shred thin(reduce weight) at the same time rebalance the old flywheel. With a lighter+bigger flywheel, pickup will not compromise too much, where as top end strength benefitted damn a lot wei! Typically when you're doing 140kmh, even u tekan habis it will still take 9 years to achieve 180kmh, but u can feel the significant improvement with a bigger lighten flywheel. My 4G13 is using 4G92 flywheel, whereas my brother's 4G15 is using 4G93.

At this point, I'm not sure whether PH & PE shares the same size flywheel(I hope not). Changing flywheel will be my last thing to upgrade my CAMPUR engine for the 1st stage mod.

Me & my bro use different magician, both different characteristics. 1 prefer standard mod, anything came from same product family, easily obtain parts from chopshop, but guarantee die hard fan from the product family. However, my magician pulak prefer NOT to change stuff but to squeeze the last drop of power to the wheel with all the standard modification. Imagine, our S4PE claims to have 94hp on paper, but then most of the standard machine went for on wheel dyno, they're getting more or less 70bhp blink.gif So, where does the rest of 24hp gone? Aircon la,alternator la,clutch la,flywheel la,tire friction la,airfilter restriction la,cat converter la,water pump la...finally a fat arse like me sitting at the driver seat(that alone 10 horses gone!) laugh.gif

Theoritically, combine the 2 magician's mod should came up with super duper quality modification with reasonable cost. Reason being? Both magicians are cheapo modder! ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

Waiting for my magician to come up with a good design before I can jump in and mod my car. Standard modification. Want people look at my engine bay also dunno what I modded.

QUOTE(ibnuasad @ Apr 8 2012, 02:58 PM)
I thought BOT was a good idea...until I read the horror stories of Campro engines failing after a few months of BOT.

But then I read about superchargers...this seemed to be a more viable option smile.gif
*
Force induction WAS a good idea, only NOT reliable IN MALAYSIA. If you happen to go TAIWAN, 9/10 Civics/Lancers are BOT with low boost between 0.2~0.8bar. Why other people no problem? It's because Malaysia mentality always think BOV the louder the better. Always like to tighten the valve so the SQV sneeze loud². Everytime when the turbine start to charge, immediately release throttle, scared people don't know they have a turbine under the hood. With all that kind of sohighness drivers, how can turbo last long? Many was right about the reliability of CAMPUR engine, it WAS not meant for turbo charge, but then the factory specification SHOULD handle any pressure slightly higher than usual. So, supposedly 0.1bar up to 0.5bar is very acceptable level. To play it safe, a metal head gasket to reduce compression ratio is recommended. Again, our Malaysian driber like to bring a spanna go infront turbine there and adjust actuator see how far the original engine can boost. 0.5 bar, then 0.6 bar, then 0.7 bar, then 0.8 bar. Still cannot match an EVO, go back do 1.0bar. You say lar, where got enough petrol to drink with the original injectors? Air>Fuel mixture, engine overheat lar. Poor S4P sure die lar! I know geh, then some smart hole will come out and say add injector to maintain AFR, but then the combustian level also increase at the meantime, metal gasket add already or not? 10.1 compression ratio + turbo charge 1.0 bar? Got enough sohighness or not? You watch how these sohigh call themself pakar in turboing a campur engine lar! See how they drive lar! CCB before the turbine fully kick in already release, why? Show the Peugeot this Persona can sneeze mar. Sei sohigh!

Compare to this 1? brows.gif

QUOTE(dares @ Apr 8 2012, 04:10 PM)
If your engine kenot tahan turbo, how can it tahan a Supercharger?
*
Can tahan 1. Don't go high boost. Don't always release pedal just to hear BOV. Don't tighten too much of the BOV. Dont over boost. Dont kacau the actuator. The car can last as long as any other NA CAMPUR

Don't worry bro! All Plotong been through thorough Anti Karat process! Such small water puddle will not rust your ride geh
user posted image
laugh.gif Kidding kidding Since 2001 Plotong already improved, no longer using normal 225 silicon glue to glue our car. So, less likely will rust that bad.

Only 2 possibilities to have a puddle at the passenger side:

1) Windshield replaced before, but the glue is NOT WELL attached, water leak from windshield
2) Aircon system stuck/condense water pipe bocor

Small mater thumbup.gif No worries, in order to rust you need another few more months. Get it repair now to avoid further water retention.

Dude u misunderstood him liao. Bcoz he need to let V12k belasah his car with me sitting in it to feel the true power of S4PH IAFM+, V12k promised to whack it until 80kmh then pull handbrake do gymkhana. U must understand such a great man willing to let me try his car under full load. Such generousity is marvellous! U shd come TT & withness what have not been tested by Plotong.

For the rest of the TT crew, your ride will be look see oni, V12k promised will not touch them(except Dexter's S4PH IAFM+). Whilst V12k trashing Dexter's car, you all can go Kenji's ride listen to Coldplay-Speed of sound. Then Talk Coldplay Sing Song. Thanks again to dares!
