Thanks bro..

And i find out the back boot door minor problem..
Even it is lock but the alarm still alert..
So i need to reopen and close it again..

Is this can be fix and claim by service centre as well free??
*
UR alwaz welcomed!! smile.gif

Re Boot alarm sensor prob, it's quite common altho me not kena...yet! tongue.gif
The sensor contacts are juz behind the locking mechanism. Uses different way of contacts than used at doors & bonnet.
Need to ensure the copper/brass contacts are clean & touching when boot is open. Adjust its spring?

I've posted pics b4. Will try search...then post link here...

guyz i'm going for 10k first service...

previously using chemlube 10w30, can i know for 10k first service use what brand prefer? still stick to 10w30? i heard ppl say proton fl only can stick to 10w40... is it true? was thinking of 5w30..
*
Hi...
Feel yu can either continue with 10W30 (if yu've no complaints abt engine) or changeover to 10W40.

Reason?
Both are approved SAE grades as long as they fulfill the recommended API Classification.

5W30 and 10W30 are SAME SAE grades except former for colder winter temp & latter for not so cold winter temp.
The ?W value does NOT apply in Msia. No winter!!

Pls refer to yr User Manual if in doubt of suitability. There shld b a graphic table for suitable grades.

ps. All suitable/recommended fluids 2b used in car are given in User Manual.
Frankly a simple mineral oil is gud enuf as long as it fulfills the SAE grades & API classification. Other than that, it's more of a PERSONAL choice & Affordabilty. icon_rolleyes.gif

looks good, but macam susah nak pasang =\
*
Agreed. tongue.gif

Unless yr NEW car has juz been delivered 2yu...very clean! Else a lot of prep work eg cleaning, is needed.
Besides the stuck-on seal is an Extra...if yu kno wat it means...

IMHO better 2go 4OEM items if available. Costs more tho.
However, less hassle, easier DIY & the BEST part is...it looks like it came with the car!

Sorry for the late reply... now only got the chance to surf
Anyway, my rattling prob mmg frm actual back seat one, not frm the door.
When there's ppl sitting on it... less sound
If no ppl.. it sounds like tin cans colliding... glad that it gone
Got a question to sifus here... how to take out the rearview mirror on the windscreen?
I tried to wiggle2 it and sliding it but kinda hard, i used to take out Gen 2's one which was quite easy, just slide it only.
*
Yr rear seat noises sound like (probably?) 1 or more of the rear (most likely..centre) seatbelts' buckles, etc left under the seat?? Or loose attachments/anchor points?
Did SC ppl tell yu the cause?

Rearview mirror? Anyone know? Pls share.
Might come in handy 1 day. Who knows? tongue.gif

Is thr any difference between Shell HX7 and Shell HX7-E?
I mean from user experience.
I do notice here HX7 is no a good choice, hw about HX7e?
My dad ask me go for Idemitsu.

I shud go for 10W/30 oil right? as recommended in manual book? SC just pour some 10W/40 (syn800)
*
Pls read my earlier post #589 & then make yr OWN choice/decision.
Link HERE ==> http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2285878/+580#bottom

Most important point is the oil complies with SAE grades suitable for the country's ambient temp AND API classification.
ALL such oils are suitable & will provide sufficient lube & protection for yr engine under normal usage conditions. thumbup.gif

Different ppl hv diff prefs, trends of thought & financial capability. That's why diff types of oils still sell! tongue.gif

YOUR choice...over2yu... icon_rolleyes.gif

ps. Proton has changed its recommendations from SAE20W50 to 10W30 since birth of Saga BLM... HOWEVER, SCs are using mainly 10W40! rclxub.gif

Juz chk out the graphic chart in User Manual plus Google to learn MORE abt Engine Oils...yu'd b very surprised!! rclxm9.gif

Yup, really boring...

FC, different car different FC, 1'm not weird if they ask, becos u can't found by googling. (well, this is Proton anyway)

Engine oil, got manual to read, a lot of information in google, last time i also read to learn by myself, but why ppl are lazy and keep asking and asking...

another boring topic is regarding which SC to service and how much for each service...  rclxub.gif
*
True. Agreed.
Understand such topics are boring & repetitive.
However, at same time, these are also questions in most new drivers/owners' minds.

Either we help them or chase them away?
Which is better option as ppl who care?

Suggest TS put such "boring" info on FIRST page of every new thread.
This way we can juz refer such queries there...
Better & Friendlier, rite? icon_rolleyes.gif

ps. Frankly Banning is NVR a good solution in the World. Juz look arnd & see the no. of laws that do NOT allow yu 2do this/that.
Do ppl follow...? Even with mandatory death sentences? sad.gif

We hv 2accept fact that NOT everyone is like yu...or other knowledgeable users... notworthy.gif

Of course, there are also those who find the "easy" way out ie juz post the question in forum instead of using Google...now that the Net is right @our fingertips!

Therefore, how can we best help those genuinely in need?
As oledi suggested, a FIRST page info reference wld cater to most needs. thumbup.gif

ps. The Persona first page format can b a guideline... rolleyes.gif

NOT need mech/wkshop wan la...
DIY = Best & Easy nia!! thumbup.gif

Not need dismantle anything else. Juz :
1. Need 2pull out Ori fr door edge short length fr one end first;
2. Then pull out ends fr plastic covering @ lower parts of A & B pillars;
3. Do reverse (start inserting fr one end eg front doors fr A pillar ends) to install the OEM door seal.
Note: Ensure OEM seal seats well as it is pushed onto metal door edge & follow curves well.

That's all!! DONE!!
rclxms.gif
(NB. Might need to trim a bit off one end of OEM seal if a bit too long...so hv a blade or pair of scissors ready.)
No sweat.gif wan!

Happy DIYing!! thumbup.gif

bros ... err.... i wanna ask whether between 10k and 20k... should i change my engine oil ? i mean, synthetics engine oil(shell hx7) start to feel sluggish already and degrade around 4500km ... so i guess we should change oil like 15000 ?
*
IMO if using Full Syn, at least change oil filter (plus top up EO) in-between (after 5k Km) 10k Km service intervals. tongue.gif
Other EOs, continue do 5k Km oil & filter changes as b4. smile.gif
