QUOTE(dares @ Apr 13 2012, 02:29 PM) Kenot be. Don't bluff. In the entire world only Proton power window will rosak. I dun belip you. Eberybody also say only Proton power window will rosak, other cars won't. QUOTE(r3apers @ Apr 13 2012, 02:22 PM) tht time the mechanic advice me to change the controller unit for the kelisa coz inside got 2 plastic leg patah... so he quote me the price...thn i was WTH 130 for a stupid plastic stuff... but luckly the mechanic said still can use but dont roll ur window down full thn it should be ok... so since thn been using the cotroller unit for 2 years with 2 leg patah...but sumtimes forget roll down, cannot come up...make me keep pressing the button then only roll up.. (press about 20 times Ok! Stop powey windoe discussion, here is some farking useful information for ALL car owners. You don't need to believe me, these are PRECIOUS info I obtained from used car dealers! Due to my job nature, I have to meet like 50+ used ar dealers every week, & we all know they repair the trading cars @ minimal cost, so they can improve profit margin. So, here we go:as for saga not sure...but it should be quite expensive ba~! P/S : out of topic awhile... 1) Window machine(the arm/frame) we made by ligthweight alluminium(future will be fully plastic). Reason being, to reduce weight. So if your rack patah, don't blame. Either heavier door or save petrol. 2) Motor we made by magnetic driven core, 1 fine day when the carbon wear off/too thin, your motor strength decreased/stop winding, then you'll have to change. Again, this is consumable part, can't blame. 3) Old Plotong utilize metal switches! Not the button itself, but the machine itself. Heavy production cost & prune to rust(but serviceable). If the switch stopped working, just dismentle it, lubricate it, sand off the rust, its good as new! Therefore, a set of power window for old Plotong SHOULD actually last very long. But why pple always komplen? Below are the findings & cure. 1) Motor failure/weak very quickly iss due to the harden window lining. Often u heard squeking sound frm the window, then the motor fail. If ur window winding speed is slowing down, pls lubricate ur rubber! Not the motor. 2) Most people said, I often lubricate my window with cclass 1 silicone base lubricants. Bear in mind, we're staying in high heat country. It quickly dried off the silicone & remain residue(such as dust& sand) the more you lubricate with silicone, the worst your rubber turn out in the long run. The right thing to do is, lubricate your window lining with oil base lubricants. 1 of the cheapest+effective lubricant is TYRE SHINE! Those white color thingy that only cost u 5 bucks 1 big bottle. If too oily, dilute with water. 3) Often heard the mechanic guy tell u original part last longer than immitation. My capayam motor has been with my ISWARA for lost count of years! Apply grease before pasang, it brings you out of trouble for very long time. 4) According to JIS(Japan International Standard), we're supposed to scrap the car by the age of 5. Now we're complaining the 20 years old Plotong GaGa power window failure?! Any car surived 5 years in Malaysia considered untung ady!!! Stop complaining, start maintenace! The above are REAL experience, & still happening day in day out with all my used car dealers! Power window doesn't work? Squeeze tire shine and milk the window lining 1st, then only decide whether change parts. You don't have to belive me, but its being doing wonders for me all these years. |

Uah... Today's spamming progress like extremely sloe. I've been Googling for different topics regarding BLM(reading selectively LYN posts) & found within these few years the SAGA empire changed damn a lot wei. Different TS different style. 1 of the hardcore supporter needless to say, the name is SiuYi! And also 1 of the most active spammer/contributor namely Eric the mad man. With all respect, tabit hormat to these gentlements. Sincerely apology to Eric again if I ofended you. No smiley on this post oz being too serious, can't find a proper expression for my current emotion state.
I believe(almost certain) I will dropped out of Saga thread like most of the seniors before V16, life goes on just like any other old timers; but then I think 1 fine day I Google for SAGA problem, I will probably drop by again to say hi to the latest enthusiasts. By that time I probably have the feeling of back to my old home soil & see the boys hanging around each others ride discussing how to improve their ride. Long live the Saga empire. |

QUOTE(zeone @ Apr 14 2012, 10:50 PM) Help, Bros.... Wet spark plug Juz now me had my very own FIRST prob with my 1.3 FL Auto!! Wanted 2go out 4dinner. Turned ignition key. Engine cranked. But engine failed to start! Tried agin & agin a few times...Failed. Horn, lights, all ok. Voltmeter showed 12.2V Paused for a couple mins. Tried a few more times. Engine then started after a long crank... But died by itself. Paused agin for longer period. A few more cranks. Finally started running after a long crank! Ran smoothly...like no prob b4 that! Took car out for drive arnd Taman. Smooth drive. Came home & turned off engine. Then tried re-starting. Normal start!! Phew.... Pls...pls... Any ideas wat cld be the prob? Really stumped with new Saga systems. Advice really badly needed. Dunno wat/how to chk... Fear me might be stranded... TQ very much in adv. You may experience it again, try to kick your pedal after 2 seconds of ACC before ignition, then you'll have trouble to start your car! But don't worry... There is no way I can know whether the spark plug is wet, but my experience told me these: 1) If the sparkplug is wet, crank speed is faster than usual and sounded muffled 2) To identify, you step on the pedal, you'll hear even muffled sound and crank speed even faster 3) Shut the ACC, wait for few minutes then try again, should be back to normal Anyway, you can't identify what happened just now. Because a wet sparkplug does not happen all the time(unless you got a loose piston ring - may be you should now go and check your dipstick too |
